WRITING TASK

You should spend about 15 minutes on this task.

Write about the following topic:

It is generally believed that some people are born with certain talents, for instance
for sport or music, and others are not. However, it is sometimes claimed that any
child can be taught to become a good sports person or musician.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give respons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge
or experience.
Write at least 250 word.

People have different opinions about whether children are born with natural talents or if they can
learn any skill through practice. Some people believe that talent is something that already exist when
a child is born, especially in areas like sport or music. Others argue that every child can become good if
they receive enough training. In this essay, I will discuss both views and give my own opinion.

On one hand, many people think talent is natural and cannot be created. They believe that some
children show special abilities even when they are still very young. For example, some kids can play
musical instruments very easily, or some can run faster than their friends without doing much practice.
This make people think that talent is something that comes from birth. Parents also often say their
children have different ability even if they grow up in the same environment, so this support the idea
that talent is inherited.

On the other hand, there are people who believe that skills can be learned with enough practice. They
say that even if a child does not have natural talent, they still can improve by working hard. Many
athletes and musicians were not talented when they were young, but they become great because they
train everyday. Teachers and coaches also play important role because they guide children step by
step. With enough effort, almost anyone can reach a high level.

In my opinion, talent and hard work both matter, but I believe hard work is more important. A
talented person who does not practice will not go far, but someone with less talent can still become
excellent if they keep trying.

In conclusion, talent can give children an advantage, but practice and dedication are the things that
truly shape someone’s success.
