FORMAT OF the science EXAMS
THREE PAPERS
– PAPER 1 – 60 MCQs
–PAPER 2 – STRUCTURED PAPER (6 QUESTIONS)
–PAPER 3 – SBA
• AGRI SCIENCE (Animal rearing and crop production
and a report on each PROJECTS) and PE (SKILLS,
TOURNAMENT)
• ALL OTHER SCIENCES (LABS)
SCHOOL BASED ASSESSMENT (SBA)
This is an internal assessment component of the syllabus.
It is a set of tasks/assignment/projects conducted in school, carried out by
the Students over the 2-year period.
SBA is an essential part of the assessment process and provides an
opportunity to gain a percentage mark that will be added to their final marks
from the other 2 papers.
Since it is teacher assisted students have the opportunity to earn full marks
once the follow the instructions of their teachers.
If a student does NOT submit their SBA’s the teacher will have no choice but
to put on
CXC grading system NO SBA SUBMITTED. This automatically means the
student will fail the exam even before the student writes the other 2 papers.
