Subject: Complaint regarding continuous harassment, intimidation, and disturbance by wife and
her relatives
Respected Sir/Madam,
I, R. Mathan S/o D. Rajasekar, residing at 285/1, Triplicane High road, Triplicane, Chennai,
600005 respectfully submit this complaint as follows:
Facts of the Case
I am legally wedded to my wife,Vijayalakshmi (a) Durga, and we have a minor son aged about
2½ years. Due to matrimonial differences and frequent quarrels, my wife voluntarily left the
matrimonial home approximately one year ago and is currently residing at her mother’s house
located at Edapadi, Salem District, Tamil Nadu. She was taken by her relatives, including her
mother, uncle, and aunt, and since then has been residing there. Within 15 days of her departure,
I made genuine efforts to bring her back, but she and her family members refused.
Present Situation
Since the past year, there has been minimal contact between us. I have only been able to see my
minor child through occasional video calls initiated by me. I am currently pursuing Final Year
LL.B. (Hons.) at Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Taramani, Chennai. My semester
examinations are scheduled in May. At this crucial stage, I am required to concentrate fully on
my academic preparation.
Acts of Harassment
Recently, my wife and her relatives (namely her mother, aunt, and uncle) have been:
Continuously making frequent phone calls at odd hours, Using abusive and threatening language,
Intentionally disturbing my mental peace and study schedule, pressurizing and intimidating me
unnecessarily without allowing reasonable time to resolve issues after my examinations. Such
repeated acts are causing mental harassment, emotional distress, and obstruction to my academic
career.
The continuous harassment and disturbance:
● Affects my right to peaceful life,
● Obstructs my education and career,
● Causes mental agony and stress,
● Is being done with malicious intent to pressurize and intimidate me.
Prayer
In light of the above, I humbly request that you may kindly:
1. Take appropriate legal action against my wife and her relatives for harassment and
intimidation;
2. Issue a warning or initiate inquiry to prevent further disturbance;
3. Ensure that they refrain from contacting or harassing me unnecessarily, especially during
my examination period;
4. Provide me with protection from further mental harassment;
5. Pass any other order deemed fit in the interest of justice.
I am ready to cooperate fully with the investigation.
Yours faithfully,
R. Mathan
