CHAPTER IV
PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA
This chapter includes a presentation, analysis and interpretation of the gathered data. The
findings on the respondents’ profile in terms of age, gender and track, and how respondents
fight stress were analyzed and interpreted following the sequence of the research questions as
enumerated and explained in the first chapter.
4.1 Respondents’ Profile in terms of Age

As shown in Table 4.1, the participants of the study is composed of one hundred sixty
(160) Grade 11 Senior High School Students enrolled in a 21st Century Literature Class of
Emiliano Tria Tirona Memorial National High School whose ages are between 15 – 17 which is
seventy (70) percent of the total population; Sixty one (61) Grade 11 Senior High School
Students between 18 to 20 years of age, which is twenty seven (27) percent of the total
population; Eight (8) Grade 11 Senior High School Students over twenty (20) years of age, which
is three (3) percent of the total population; and there were no respondent/s under fifteen (15)
years of age participated in this study. A total of five hundred and thirty five (135) populations
which is one hundred (100) percent and two hundred twenty nine (229) served as the total
sample.
This research finding is supported and can be backed up by reading the article titled,
Philippines an educational system – overview in 2019 which states that Secondary education is
taught for 4 years from ages 13 to 16.
4.2 Respondents’ Way of Dealing with stress

Table 4.2 shows the respondents’ ways of dealing with stress. Two of the respondents
answered that they calm themselves to deal with stress; while the remaining two respondents
end what they are doing to be able to deal with stress.
These findings are supported by an article by Egenias (2021) which states that there are
healthy ways to cope with stress.
