National Science Day 2026


27th to 28th February 2026

Please read the guidelines scrupulously before registering for the program

Rashtrapati Nilayam is celebrating National Science Day on February 27th and

28 2026. In connection with this a number of competitive events for students will be
conducted on these days.

Name of the events

1. Scientific Exhibitions–Display of innovations

2. Scientists Photo Wall Exhibition

3. Workshops: - Fun with Science, Start-ups – Innovations and Careers in


Science

4. Competitions:-Quiz, Science Debate, Scientific model exhibition & Poster

Terms and Conditions

1. Registration is mandatory for participation. Entry will not be permitted


without prior registration.
2. The registration period will close by 22ndFebruary 2026 by 5pm, for competitions.
3. The registration link for competitions in the website will be closed by 22nd
February 2026 and late entries will not be possible.
4. Each student must register individually either for the event or competition of
their interest.
5. Only one single entry is permitted from each student.
6. Students should carry their valid School ID Card.
7. Students should bring their own lunch boxes.
8. Every student attending National Science day celebrations at Rashtrapati
Nilayam will get E-participation certificates.
9. Those students who are not participating in any events can also attend and
participate in workshops with prior registration and will also be given an
opportunity to have Rashtrapati Nilayam tour.

Science Exhibition Competition

1. The project for the science exhibition must align with the theme –Science for

Sustainable Tomorrow. Eligibility of the students is from Class 8 & above.

Note :

 Each school or college may submit only one project. Each project team
must consist of a maximum of 05 students.

 Govt. and Private School participation in the Science Exhibition Model


Competition must be routed through the respective District Education
Officers (DEOs).

 Rangareddy District: 10 models


 Medchal and Malkajgiri District: 10 models
 Hyderabad District: 10 models

 ITI& Polytechnic Colleges With Only one Project from each College

 Degree &Engineering Colleges With Only one Project from each College

Quiz Competition

Topics: Indian Science, Space Technology, Environment, Health and Emerging innovations

Sustainable Tomorrow

1. Only five students from each school/college are permitted to participate in the
quiz competition.

2. Quiz will be conducted on 27 February 2026 from 10 AM onwards

Poster Making

Themes:- Anyone of the following: -Emerging Technologies, Recent inventions in India and
Climate change Mitigation Technologies.

1. Only two students from each school/college are permitted to participate in this competition.
2. Competition will be started on 27th February 2026 at 10AM. Charts, Colours and Pads shall
be carried by the students themselves.

Science Debate

Theme : Artificial Intelligence: Boon or Bane to Humanity?


Language : English / Telugu / Bilingual

Rules

 Participants will be divided into two teams: one supporting the motion and the
other opposing (non-supporting) the motion.
 Total speaking time: 3 minutes per participant
 Open to school (Classes 8–12) and college (Degree/Engineering/ITI) students
 Individual participation
 Offensive, political, or non-scientific content is prohibited
 Exceeding time limits will lead to point deduction
 Decision of judges will be final and binding
