HR:
Good morning. Can you introduce yourself?
Candidate:
Good morning, my name is Alfatiya Nurul Adzkia. I am currently
a second-semester accounting student in the evening class at
Politeknik Negeri Batam. While studying, I also work to gain
practical experience, which has helped me develop strong time
management, responsibility, and discipline.
Previously, I worked at Awal Bros Hospital Batam in the BPJS
finance department, where I handled administrative financial
tasks and supported data processing. Through this experience,
I improved my attention to detail, communication skills, and
ability to work in a team.
In my academic journey, I have learned about financial
reporting, taxation, and basic accounting systems. I am eager
to apply my accounting knowledge in a professional
environment and continue growing my career in accounting
and finance.
HR:
That’s great. Based on your background in accounting and your
experience in the finance department, why are you interested
in this role?
Candidate:
I am interested in this role because it aligns with my
background in accounting and my career goals. I want to
deepen my knowledge and gain more practical experience in
financial processes such as recording, reporting, and taxation.
In addition, I see this opportunity as a way to develop my
career and grow professionally. I am also motivated to
contribute to the company by supporting its financial
operations and helping achieve its goals.
HR:
You mentioned that you have developed discipline and
attention to detail. Can you tell me more about your strengths
and weaknesses?
Candidate:
One of my strengths is attention to detail, which is very
important in accounting to ensure accuracy in financial data. I
am also disciplined because I am used to balancing work and
study.
For my weakness, sometimes I focus too much on accuracy,
which can make me take more time to complete tasks.
However, I am improving this by managing my time better and
setting priorities.
HR:
Since you have experience working while studying, you must
have faced challenges. How do you handle conflict or difficult
situations?
Candidate:
When I face difficult situations, I try to stay calm and focus on
finding solutions. I listen carefully to others’ perspectives and
communicate clearly to avoid misunderstandings. From my
experience working in the BPJS finance department, I learned
how to handle pressure and complete tasks responsibly.
HR:
That’s good to hear. With your current experience and goals,
where do you see yourself in the next five years?
Candidate:
“In five years, I hope to become a more competent accounting
professional with stronger technical skills and possibly obtain
relevant certifications. I would like to continue learning, gain
more experience, and gradually take on greater
responsibilities. I also hope I can contribute to the company’s
financial processes and support its growth.”
HR:
Considering everything you’ve shared, why should we hire you?
Candidate:
“You could consider hiring me because I have basic theoretical
knowledge from my accounting studies and some practical
experience from working in the finance department. I am
disciplined, willing to learn, and able to adapt to new
environments. I hope I can contribute positively to the team
while continuing to develop my skills.”
HR:
Alright. Before we end, do you have any questions for us?
Candidate:
“Yes, I do. Could you tell me what kind of training or
development programs are available for employees, especially
for students or fresh graduates?
And I would also like to ask, how does the accounting team
usually collaborate in this company?”
HR:
“Of course. We provide onboarding training and mentoring from
senior staff to help new employees adapt.
Our accounting team works collaboratively with open
communication to ensure accuracy and efficiency.”
Candidate:
“That sounds very good. I believe that kind of environment
would really help me learn and grow.”
HR:
“Do you have any other questions?”
Candidate:
“No, that’s all for now. Thank you for the explanation.”
HR:
“Alright, thank you for your time today. We will contact you
soon regarding the next steps.”
Candidate:
Thank you for the opportunity. I am very interested in this
position and look forward to hearing from you.
