SIMPLE PRESENT GUIDE

Afirmativa:

Sujeto + verbo (forma base)

●​ I work
●​ You study
●​ We play
●​ They eat

⚠️ Tercera persona (he, she, it):​


El verbo cambia:

●​ She works
●​ He studies
●​ It eats

Reglas de la tercera persona singular


📌 Regla 1: + “s”
●​ work → works
●​ eat → eats

📌 Regla 2: + “es” (verbos terminados en -ch, -sh, -x, -s, -o)


●​ watch → watches
●​ go → goes
●​ fix → fixes

📌 Regla 3: consonante + y → cambia a “ies”


●​ study → studies
●​ try → tries

⚠️ Vocal + y → solo “s”


●​ play → plays

Negativa
Sujeto + do/does + not + verbo base

●​ I do not (don’t) work


●​ She does not (doesn’t) work

⚠️ El verbo vuelve a forma base:​


❌ She doesn’t works​
✅ She doesn’t work

Interrogativa
Do/Does + sujeto + verbo base?

●​ Do you work?
●​ Does she study?

Verbo TO BE (am / is / are)


✅ Afirmativa:
●​ I am (I’m)
●​ You are (You’re)
●​ He/She/It is (He’s / She’s / It’s)
●​ We are (We’re)
●​ They are (They’re)

❌ Negativa:
●​ I am not
●​ She is not (isn’t)
●​ They are not (aren’t)
