How to create a Clonezilla Image onto the Emergency Recovery USB-Stick Bruker BioSpin
With the Bruker Emergency Recovery USB-Stick, you can create and restore Clonezilla images.
This USB-Stick contains a bootable, preconfigured Clonezilla version. The USB-Stick is the follow-up to
the previously used USB-Card.
This document describes how to create a Clonezilla image onto the USB-Stick.
Creating a Clonezilla Image to the Emergency Recovery USB-Stick is quite simple. Just follow the
procedure below.
Insert the Emergency Recovery USB-Stick into a USB port and power on the workstation.
Select CREATE IMAGE FROM LOCAL HD (sda) TO USB-STICK /home/partimag/ and press ENTER
Enter a new image name or leave the default, press ENTER to continue
The Clonezilla images reside in the folder /home/partimag/ on the Emergency Recovery USB-Stick
Enter y to save the image onto the USB-Stick (directory /home/partimag/)

The image creating process will take a while (depends on the image size and on the USB-Stick)
The image is being checked after its creation
Select “poweroff” end Press ENTER to shut down the system
That’s it!
Now remove the Emergency Recovery USB-Stick, connect the network cables (if available) and switch
on the workstation.
