Signal Conditioning-
[Link] amplifies the weak signals from the sensors
(Example: Thermocouple output in mV is amplified to volts)
[Link] also Removes noise using filters
(Example: LPF,HPF,BPF,BSF....)
[Link] signals into suitable range (level shifting)
(Example: Converting −5V to +5V signal into 0–5V range a).OP-AMP
The Multiplexer / Commutator-
1. Selects one signal at a time from multiple inputs
(Example: Switching between temperature, pressure, and
speed sensors in aircraft.)
2. Assigns each signal a specific time slot (TDM)
(Example: Sensor 1 → Sensor 2 → Sensor 3 in sequence)
1. Acts like a high-speed electronic switch
(Example: MOSFET)
b). MUX
Cntd..
Encoder-
[Link] analog or sampled signals into a digital format
(Example: Converting sensor voltage into binary data
using ADC)
[Link] transmission efficiency and reliability
(Example: Digital signals are less affected by noise
compared to analog) c).Encoder
Modulator-
[Link] signal into a form suitable for transmission
(Example: Converting electrical signal into radio signal
for wireless transmission)
[Link] in long-distance communication
(Example: Satellite telemetry systems)
d).PWM & PAM
(Transmission Channel)
Channel-
It is medium used to transmit signals from transmitter to
receiver end.
This can be wired or wireless.
Types of Channels
Wired Channel : It includes Copper cables, Optical fiber e). optical fiber cable
(Example: Ethernet cable, fiber optic communication)
Wireless Channel : It includes Radio waves, Satellite links
(Example: Aircraft telemetry, mobile comm.)

(Receiver Section)
Demodulator-
[Link] extracts the original signal from modulated carrier wave.
(Example: Recovering the audio signal from radio waves)
[Link] also removes the carrier frequency component.
[Link] signal back to digital data signal.
Decoder-
[Link] it converts received digital data form demodulator g).Decoder
into original signal form.
(Example: Binary data converted back to analog using DAC)
[Link] also helps in error detection and correction
Demultiplexer (DEMUX)-
[Link] now separates the combined signals into individual
outputs
(Example: Separating temperature, pressure, speed signals)
[Link] works in synchronization with multiplexer.
[Link] it routes each signal to the correct channel for
proper display h).DEMUX
