IVF Presentation Script — 8 Speakers

Speaker 1 — Introduction

Good morning everyone! Today, our team will be presenting a fascinating medical
advancement — In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF). It is a part of Assisted Reproductive Technology
or ART, designed to help couples who are facing problems in having a baby. The special
thing is: fertilisation happens outside the body — in a lab!

Speaker 2 — What is IVF?

IVF is a process where eggs are collected from the female and combined with sperm in a
laboratory dish. Once the egg is successfully fertilized and becomes an embryo, it is placed
back into the uterus so pregnancy can begin.

Speaker 3 — When is IVF used?

Doctors suggest IVF when a couple cannot conceive naturally even after a year of trying
without protection. It is also used in cases like blocked fallopian tubes, low sperm count,
ovulation issues, unexplained infertility, advanced maternal age, or genetic concerns.

Speaker 4 — Types of IVF

There are mainly 3 types of IVF:

1) Conventional IVF — Eggs are mixed with sperm in a lab

2) ICSI — A single sperm is directly injected into an egg

3) Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) — Embryos are frozen earlier and used later

Speaker 5 — Lab Stage (Egg & Sperm Journey)

Inside the IVF lab:

- Eggs are retrieved from ovaries

- Sperm is cleaned and prepared


- Fertilization happens naturally or by ICSI

- Embryos grow in an incubator for 3–7 days

- Best embryos are selected for transfer

- Extras are frozen in liquid nitrogen

Speaker 6 — Embryo Transfer

When the embryo reaches the blastocyst stage (Day 5 or 6), the doctor gently places it
inside the uterus. The process is painless and quick.

Speaker 7 — Benefits of IVF

IVF helps families by:

- Overcoming infertility

- Allowing genetic screening before transfer

- Freezing embryos for future pregnancies

Speaker 8 — Conclusion

IVF is a scientific blessing that helps couples experience parenthood when natural methods
don’t work. With advanced technologies like ICSI and FET, IVF is more successful and
accessible.
