SORSOGON CITY

Name: Vanessa Claro

Year & Course: BSHM 4A

Topic: New Normal in the Airline Industry

Speaker: Mr. Jun Acullador

Date & Time: March 17 2022

I. Introduction

Module six is all about airline industry in new normal manner. It was discussed by Mr. Jun Acullador who
is cabin crew, manager and instructor. He is currently MA Industrial Relations. The topic discussed in
this module are flying in the midst of pandemic which tackles the changes under new normal, required
documents before flying, how local airlines address the issue COVID 19 and how they protect their
passengers on board. The topic turbulent skies is all about the current situation on the industry and how
COVID 19 affect the Airline industry. Last topic is all about the future cabin crew as a profession which
discussed the cabin crew and other job opportunities in airline, the requirements to be a cabin crew, the
perks and benefits of flying .

II. Learning Knowledge Acquired

COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on global aviation as nearly all air travel came to a halt in late
March and April 2020. In Central Asia, virtually all domestic and international air travel were suspended
in an attempt to contain the spread of COVID-19. This crisis provides an opportunity to reset the aviation
industry in CAREC countries through reforms, new strategies, and restructurings. The study takes into
consideration the gravity of the situation in the region and offers some recommendations for dealing
with and beyond the crisis. Airports are essential to the economic development of cities, countries, and
regions. They directly contribute to economies by providing services to airlines, moving passengers, and
transporting cargo. The movement of goods and people also benefits governments, consumers, and
industries. However, the COVID-19 outbreak has hit airports hard—which could stall development in
emerging markets. As a result, air travel has fallen sharply, which has prompted airlines to cut capacity.
Many have been closed by governments to contain the spread of the virus. The result is a sharp fall in
revenues. Given the importance of airports to the economic development of cities, countries, and
regions, the broader impact of COVID-19 on the global economy is enormous.

III. Suggestion and Recommendations

I think you should do something similar with this, especially if you're a cabin crew member. I believe it is
beneficial to examine the journey of becoming a cabin crew member as well as a broader discussion on
the cabin crew job description. I believe it will give aspiring cabin crew members a better grasp of the
industry. And I believe it would be much better if it could be done in a face-to-face and hands-on
manner, allowing attendees to participate in a real workshop.
