Job Description including skill sets & expected learning:
Embedded Systems (Entry Level)
Description:
As an Entry level engineer the candidate must be able to designs, implement, test, and debug firmware for
Microprocessor / microcontrollers using languages like C and C++. He/She needs to know the Software and
hardware integration. He/She should have knowledge of Operating Systems (also RTOS), Compilers (Cross
compilers) and Linkers. Should be able to understand Microcontroller Architecture. Key skills include knowledge
of protocols (SPI, I2C, UART), debugging tools, and RTOS fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities:
Firmware Development : Write efficient, reliable, and optimized code in C/C++ for embedded
microcontrollers.
System Testing & Debugging: Perform testing of code developed and troubleshoot hardware-software
interface issues using tools like logic analysers and oscilloscopes.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including flowcharts, design documents,
and code comments.
Skill Development: Participate in continuous learning, professional development, and code reviews
under senior engineers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. (advanced
degree preferred).
Languages: Strong knowledge of C programming is essential; C++ is a plus.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex, [Link], PIC) and debugging tools.
Basic knowledge of Compilers, operating systems (RTOS) and ability to read data sheets and schematics.
Communication Protocols: Understanding of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN.
General Skills: Good Communication skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
