Introduction
Presenting or reporting information depends a great deal on the class. A room
full of learners like you will be looking for a different emphasis on the information shared
than just reading a book. However, all listeners want to be respected with the engaging,
accurate, concise and presented information. The significant difference between
preparing a written report and a live presentation has more to do with style than content.
This module aims to equip you with the essential elements of performance, creating
PowerPoint, using images in presentations, including Presentation style tips.
In this digital age, Communication is mediated using technology. It is imperative
to know how the technology works - its purpose and efficiently and effectively. You can
use several ways to present your work, and today I will show you a Japanese style of
presentation that you may use in your future productions. Think of a possible scenario in
the future; let's say you only have six minutes and forty seconds to present your
business or project proposal. Yes, you may think that it's not possible. You may start
wondering how you will be able to finish an accurate report with a limited time if you
have prepared for it for days or even weeks? Don't worry! As you go along with this
lesson, you will learn that what you think is impossible is possible. Let me introduce you
to a new kind of compelling presentation that will work well - the "PechaKucha”
presentation methodology.
You will take this module for a couple of weeks. You will do an individual online
presentation. There are links that you have to visit to give new techniques and styles
that you may use for your business or project proposal in the future.

Lesson – What is Pecha Kucha?
PechaKucha is the Japanese word for "chit chat" designed to force you to
prepare shorter, more creative, and polished PowerPoint presentations. More
importantly, creating a PechaKucha presentation motivates you to think about your
subjects in very different ways. Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham innovated the Pecha
Kucha presentation format to counter the two severe problems in presentations: people
tend to talk too long, and people tend to use PowerPoint slides under challenging ways.
The benefits of the Pecha Kucha format for a conference or a class are clear.
Scheduled presentations are only within the given time slot, and the schedule is
predictable. Also, the mood in the Pecha Kucha session is usually very engaging. Once
the "clock starts ticking," the audience is on your side, wanting you to succeed. It is a
terrific experience atmosphere for both new speakers like you and experienced
presenters.
How to Create Pecha Kucha?
You may be doing this for the first time, so the best advice that I can give is to
start with a topic you love. Your passion will shine through in your presentation styles,
but it will motivate you to create your content. It is also a great way to think of your
original topic. Upon choosing your item, make it simple. If you love it, you might get
tempted to speak a lot. Make your subject naturally enough to fit into 60 minutes and 40
seconds. The point of PechaKucha is focus and concision. So keep your topic light.

PechaKucha, there are things that you have to consider, like the proper transition of
