Teamwork ethics and Personal reflection (5th Quadrant)
1. Summary of Projects and Teamwork (Gibb’s reflective model, Gibbs, 1998)
• Description: Our group of six members working on a poster has recognised the transport and environmental
problems in Ladywood, along with proposed solutions. Our team has performed different activities such as
research on the topic, examining the constraints, designing and proposing the solutions, together with risk
management.
• Feelings: Initially, I was unconfident due to limited information on the topic; however, teamwork has boosted
my confidence and expanded my learning horizons.
• Evaluation: It has been evaluated through this experience that team collaboration and problem-solving
worked great; however, I struggled to manage time working on my project and catching up with teammates
for task discussions.
• Analysis: I have analysed that with clear communication and cooperation, I have managed to work on a team
project effectively.
• Conclusion & Action: Overall, it was a significant experience and relates to professionalism within
engineering, like skills of teamwork, collaboration, better communication and problem-solving skills.
Further, I will focus on earlier planning and role allocations for future team projects.

2. Ethical issues identified
During the group project, I encountered two ethical issues that were also linked with the UK Engineering
Council’s ethics framework. Firstly, accuracy and rigour, I have very limited knowledge regarding the project
topic, so keeping the knowledge and skills up to date was a significant ethical issue while working in a group,
since everybody’s contribution matters a lot. Secondly, leadership and communication were the second ethical
issues, as in some places some members spoke more, which somehow mitigated the shared decision making,
whereas promoting diversity, inclusion and equality plays a significant role in teamwork (Chance et al., 2021).
3. Strategies and Lessons learned 4. Personal reflection
As per the peer feedback in terms of doing this The experience offered me an abundance of
group project, I have learnt how to upgrade knowledge regarding the Ladywood's problems
teamwork as well as mitigate the ethical and helped me analyse my strengths and
challenges. I have learnt the importance of weaknesses. I have good critical thinking skills,
organising the team discussions and shared which enhance my research skills and help me in
responsibility while working in a group, which is developing ideas for the task. I was good at
