Systematic Sampling Method
My last name starts with S, so I was assigned the Systematic Sampling process:
Systematic sampling will be significantly considered for my research on vaccination
rates across major metropolitan areas. This will offer a more practical and effective means to
the study process and sampling technique. This is a probability sampling technique that helps
researchers select the key individuals for study in a complete environment or population
(Taherdoost, 2020). This is done after the researchers have selected a random starting point.
In this case, the approach makes sure that the individuals within the population have an equal
chance in the election process (Sharma, 2022). This makes the data collection more organized
as well as quite efficient.
Age group: Children (0-12), adolescents (13-18), young adults (19-25), adults (26-50).
Income levels: Low-income, middle-income, and high-income households.
Geographic regions: Neighbourhoods or Citywide Registry
In this study, systematic sampling will be easily employed. This will involve the
adoption of a comprehensive sampling frame. This will be a public health record system or a
citywide registry. The sampling interval will be found by dividing the Metropolitan
population by the sample size desired. In this case, the sampling interval for the study will be
100 since the total population is 500,000 and the desired sample size is 5000 participants. In
this case, I will pick every 100th individual, as this gives everyone a chance. To ensure the
ethical and general conduct of the study, the records that are confidential will be obtained
through agreement and collaboration with the relevant health departments. This will be
significant in organizing and anonymizing the data extraction process.
Why Systematic Sampling Method Is Appropriate:
This approach is suitable and appropriate for this research and study. This is because
the vaccination rate will reflect on the diversity patterns that form the population's economic

aspects, social issues, and age. On the other hand, this approach will reduce issues with
researcher bias since every participant has an equal chance. The fixed interval employed will
provide a better means for this study than subjective judgment. This approach is also simple,
especially when compared to other approaches like random sampling, more so in cases of
large populations.
Ensuring Reliability and Validity:
In the case of systematic sampling, reliability will be ensured by making sure that the
method can be replicated for different procedures and intervals while validity will be
enhanced by ensuring that the approach makes a comprehensive, accurate, and broad analysis
(Taherdoost, 2020). For this study, I will ensure a cost-effective, statistical, and structured
means to assess these rates and study.
