Act 1 - The argument inside the house,

Setting : In the kitchen

Explanation : The scene starts with the entrance of a young girl who came from the school and
found her parents fighting about financial matters.

ANNA : Hi ma, Hi pa, andito na po ako.

-madadatnang, nagaaway yung mga magulang niya.

MONALIZA : Ano ba naman ‘yan antonio!, Saan mo ba nilalagay ‘yang pagiisip mo? Hindi mo
ba naiiisip na napakarami na nating bayarin, pati mga bilihin sa merkado, ang tataas na rin, ‘pati
yung mga hiniraman natin ng pera, naniningil na rin tapos ikaw lasing na naman?

ANTONIO: Anong gagawin ko? Niyaya ako ng mga kumpare ko, hindi ako makakatanggi. Tsaka
isa pa, wala naman akong pasok bukas dahil weekend. Kaya ibigay mo na sa akin ‘to, okay?

MONALIZA: Napapadalas na kasi yung ganyang style mo eh. Kunwari, hindi makatanggi pero
malalaman ko ikaw naman daw pala yung nagpapasimula niyan. Kailan ka ba magbabago?

Anak: *malulungkot* Nagaaway na naman po ba kayo? Mama at Papa?

ANTONIO: Oh ayan! pinarinig mo pa sa anak mo. Ikaw na magpaliwanag sa kanya ngayon.

Act 1.01
Setting : other room near kitchen

Explanation : Mila and Tonio are having a conversation as they hear their parents' arguments in
the kitchen while ANNA suddenly gets in the room to change clothes and finds her siblings
talking.

MILA: Nagaaway na naman sila.

TONIO : You say it right ! He is just always making mom cry everyday because of his stubborn
independent yet wrong actions and decisions.

MILA : Yeah

ANNA : Hey ! What are you talking about?

MILA : What else ? Of course our great father who came home drunk and spent all his salary on
gambling.

TONIO : He really wishes to win in gambling , isn’t he ? haahahaha

ANNA : Hey stop that ! He is still our dad, you two should be careful in your words.

MILA : Really ? you can still defend him even though you don’t have your school allowance next
week because he spends it in his vices.

TONIO : If I could have a chance to pick who’ll be my father, I would not choose an idiot like him
!

MILA : Me too ! He didn’t deserve to be a father even !

ANNA : Have you had dinner already ?

TONIO : You eat with yourself , we already lost our appetite.

*Anna walked outside the room towards the kitchen , got some cups of rice and left sardines to
eat. She prays and eats.

ACT 2 : Fights that lead her mother left the house and them
Explanations : Anna wake up because of the loud voices of her parents fighting and the crying
and screaming voices of her [Link] walked from her room to know what’s happening, she
see her sister tightly holding the foot of her father and her brother who are blocking her father
because it’s intention to hit her mother who is holding a bunch of clothes and about leaving the
door.
Setting: Living room

ANTONIO : Hey ! Liza , come back ! ( angry tone )

MILA : Dad, stops !

TONIO : Stop dad, let mommy go away , she deserves peace from you !
*Anna is just crying watching this

ACT 3 : Night of freedom

Explanations : It is in the middle of the night that Tonio and Mila wake up Anna and tell her to
prepare all her clothes, they will escape the house.

TONIO: Anna !

MILA : Shhh! Anna , Anna wake up !

ANNA : Why are you two waking up so early ? You should continue to sleep.

MILA: Hey Anna , [Link] have something to tell you.

TONIO: I and Mila talked with mom before she left that we will run away from this house at
night. She is waiting outside so hurry up, put your things in a bag.

ANNA: What ? What did you say? Will we leave this house ? How about dad ? He will live alone
if we leave him. He must be very sad without us.

MILA: What are you saying ? He didn’t care for us. How come he will be sad without us?
Instead he must be very happy.

ANNA : No, you’re wrong !

TONIO : If you don’t want to come with us, you left here !

*Mila and Tonio continue to leave the house without Anna.

Months have passed since the departure of her mother, brother and sister. But in those
months , she learned that her father is suffering from depression and intense stress that makes
her father act aggressively and has vices.

She realized that her father is working so hard , day and night and often working overtime.
She learn that her father has a big and beautiful dream for their family and it is to give them a
good future but because he only works as blue collar job , he didn’t afford to send his children in
good schools and buy beautiful house for Monaliza, his wife which were he promised in their
wedding day.

Due to the fact that Antonio couldn’t make his dreams come true, he can’t accept it ,he can’t
help watching his family become miserable everyday and that became the reason for his
depression. And besides that, he also experiences some work-related stress everyday.
 Anna talks these things about her mother, sister and brother secretly , and they realize the
things that they have already done which they should not. Therefore, her mother , sister and
brother decided to go home to reunite and build their family together.
ACTS 4 : Family uniting to reconcile broken hearts and lives
Explanations : It is Christmas day when Monaliza, Mila and Tonio come back to the house. They
ask for an apology to Antonio and likewise he also asks sorry for them. The family spend
Christmas together and have gifts for each other .

MONALIZA : Hi … Antonio !

ANTONIO: Monaliza, you’re here !

MONALIZA: Yeah and I’m so…

*Antonio hug him

MILA: Ahm, dad . I’m so sorry for everything that I told you .

TONIO : I’m very sorry dad for blaming and hurting you. I shouldn't have said that , I should
have been more understandable .

ANTONIO: No, I’m the one who must apologize to all of you. I’m sorry if I didn’t become a good
husband and father to you . *Crying . I’m so sorry and I love you all.

MILA: And thank you too Anna for not leaving dad, you are a good daughter and a sibling. I love
you sis.

*Mila hugs Anna

TONIO: You have a precious heart little sis, I know you will grow beautiful with the heart.

*Tonio hugs Anna

MONALIZA : You truly are more understandable than me , I love you dear !

*Monaliza hugs Anna

ANTONIO: I’m forever grateful to have a beautiful and awesome daughter like you!

*Antonio hugs Anna

ANNA : You know what, you don’t know how much you make my heart smile today. I love you all
! I hope mum, dad, sis, brother, there will be no such things that will make us separate again.
ANTONIO: Nothing dear !

MONALIZA : We already learned our lesson, there will be no broken family if only we are
understandable to each other and love is greater than arguments.

*family hug, eating noche buena and exchanging gifts.
