Product Feedback and Interview with the client
Date: 1 November 2025
Procedure: Semi-structured interview following the final system testing.
Me: Do you think [Link] system was able to assist you to resolve the problem of food wastage
at home?
Client: Yes, absolutely. The largest alteration was the manner in which it manages the shopping
lists. Normally, I would purchase a second bag of onions should there be a possibility and the
expired ones would spoil in the back of the refrigerator. Now, since the system adds it all up in
one amount and then allows me to mark items that I already have as actually cooked, I only bring
home what I actually want to cook.
Me: What was the helpfulness of the "Exclude Ingredients" and the Favorites features?
Client: Those were essential. The Exclude Ingredients box allowed me the ability to weed out the
things that I know and am certain that the family will not eat, and this means that we do not
purchase ingredients that will only sit there and rot. I also love very much the special Favorites
page we put up. It is much easier to keep my favorite recipes on a separate page so I can plan my
week in a shorter time.
Me: What did you like about the Remember Me option of a login, as well as the final
downloaded list?
Client: The Remember Me is a relief of gigantic dimensions. When I am multitasking in the
kitchen I do not even have to re-type my password. And the Download List button is ideal; that
text file in my phone when I am in the store would not have to keep a laptop open or carry a
handwritten list.
Me: Could the interface be used easily during the walkthrough?
Client: No, it was not complicated at all. The Favorites and Generate List buttons are easy to
understand, and the grid structure of the recipes does not offer any difficulties with keeping an
eye on what I am picking. The filters did not require any instructions on how to use them.
Me: What do you think were the features that were missing?
Client: At this point in time, the recipes serve a predetermined number of individuals. When I
have guests at the dinner table, I still need to do the calculations by hand as to the ingredients. It
will be an excellent addition to have a slider to alter the number of people. Furthermore, perhaps
certain notifications about the time when the fresh food expires.
Me: In general, do you believe that the product fulfills its role of food waste reduction?
Client: Yes. It indeed got rid of the problem of redundant purchasing. It gets as though a tool that
I would actually use in cooking and shopping. It has helped me to be much more organized, and I
am disposing of much less food than I did previously.
Would you mind me writing in now the "Summary of Success Criteria" table to demonstrate that
all these features are officially "Met"?
