About
A Lathe Machine is a precision tool used to
shape materials such as metal, wood, or plastic
by rotating the workpiece against a cutting tool.

and training institutes for turning, facing,
threading, drilling, and knurling operations.

How to Use
1. Preparation
• Place the lathe on a stable, level surface.
• Ensure the work area is clean, well-lit, and
free of obstructions.
• Wear protective gear: safety goggles,
gloves, and ear protection.
2. Setting Up
• Secure the workpiece in the chuck or be-
tween centers.
• Select and mount the appropriate cutting
tool in the tool post.
• Adjust the carriage and cross-slide to posi-
tion the tool correctly.

• After finishing, retract the tool and switch
off the machine.
4. After Use
• Remove the workpiece carefully.
• Clean the machine to remove chips and
debris.
• Store cutting tools properly.
Safety Warnings
• Never wear loose clothing or jewelry while
oper ating the lathe.
• Always secure the workpiece firmly before
starting.
• Keep hands away from the rotating spindle and
cutting tool.
• Do not exceed recommended speed for the
material.
• Disconnect power before changing tools or
performing maintenance.
• Untrained persons must not operate the lathe.
