FACE:

● Skin prep: Double cleanse to exfoliate and remove blackheads so your

nose or face does not look like a strawberry under the makeup Then
use a facial toner pad → Serum/sheet mask (do not wash the sheet
mask’s serum by washing your face)
● Different moisturisers for makeup:
- Mattifying cream
- Gel moisturizer
- Tinted moisturizer
Use according to the makeup look you’re going for.
Why a primer?
- Helps to blur pores, smoothens skin, and doesn't let fine lines and
wrinkles show

Just like skincare, a primer must also be according to your skin type.
- Oily/Combination: Mattifying primers can make your face appear
shine-free and less oily. These primers are formulated to reduce excess
sebum production on the skin.
- Normal: You've got the flexibility to use any primer you want!
- Dry: Hydrating primers are excellent for dry skin because they contain
ingredients like hyaluronic acid that give dehydrated skin a
much-needed moisture boost.
● Strobe cream: Reduces wrinkles and smoothens the skin. This is used
to give your skin a glow under makeup. Can be used by all skin types
 including oily skin if you want a subtle glow but also don't want an odd
shine.
● Makeup Sprays:
There are 3 types of makeup sprays, use according to your need:
- Refreshing spray: It is a type of facial spray with added minerals
and vitamins that hydrates, sets makeup, and soothes skin. It
provides a refreshing, cool sensation like using cold rose water
without smudging makeup. It is ideal for maintaining makeup
while feeling revitalized.
- Setting spray: In simpler terms, setting sprays extend makeup
wear, maintaining its freshness. Some can give you a shine or
add a radiant glow, perfect for weddings, parties, or achieving a
natural, dewy appearance.
- Fixing spray: This can help if you want to go for a swim, for a hot
or humid climate, for the gym or want to have your makeup for a
very long night.
There are setting sprays for different skin types recommended by Celebrity
makeup artist Bryan Cantor.
● “Those with oily, normal, or combination skin types should use matte
or waterproof sprays, as they will work best with your skin type. You
should still finish oilier areas with powder to help prevent shine,”
Cantor advises.
● “Those with dry skin can use waterproof or dewy setting sprays, but
may still want to use a hyaluronic (hydrant for skin to attract water
molecules) powder on the forehead, under the eyes, and on the sides of
the nose for the finish.”

Different types:
1. Liquid Foundation

2. Cream Foundation

"For clients who previously had acne scarring or matured skin, cream

3. Stick Foundation
- If your focus is on concealing blemishes, a stick foundation might suit
you. Its convenient and is easy to slip in your purse. Due to its thicker
consistency, finding the right shade is crucial.
 ● BB & CC creams
BB- Blemish balm/Beauty balm is perfect for a broad range of skin
types and is generally designed to serve as a skin corrector,
moisturizer, and sunscreen all at once. It should be used to give a
touch of glowy tint to your skin and is very sheer. Though it does have
sunscreen and moisturizer, having combined products isn't effective so
you can use it as a touch-up for your makeup or as an everyday skin
tint.
CC creams: CC stands for Colour Corrector and helps to provide a light
layer of coverage with a natural tint. CC creams help even skin tone to
create a bright, fresh-faced look.
CC creams and BB creams can be used together and help treat
discolouration, even out your skin tone, prime it, hydrate it and give a
natural finish to the skin. This duo can act as a perfect skin prep under
your foundation for parties, and weddings or can be used under your
concealer for a simple makeup routine if you are in a hurry.

● Concealer
Different types:

1. Balm concealer: If your skin is on the extremes, like too oily or too
dry, balm concealers may work well for you. They come in the
form of a balm, and experts feel they stay put in place for a longer
duration, offering essential coverage.
2. Stick concealer: If you’re looking for a quick fix to your skin woes,
then a stick concealer is the right product for you. It comes in the
form of a rolling stick, which is semi-solid. This type of concealer
offers sheer to medium coverage and works well if you’re short of
time.
 3. Cream concealer: This one, too, offers medium to full coverage and
usually comes in a cream form. This type of concealer is thicker in
texture than the liquid one and offers better coverage for darker
spots, blemishes, and hyperpigmentation. It can also be used on
various skin types but do a patch test before purchasing one for
your skin.
● Contour:
NYC makeup artist Caroline Baribeau talks about contouring;
1. To contour the face is to simply darken certain areas that you want
to add more definition. The most common areas on the face to
contour are your cheekbones, forehead, nose, jawline, and chin.
2. For different types of skin tones:
● Fair to medium skin tones: Stick to neutrals, taupes, and cooler
contour shades.
● Tan or olive complexions: You can lean towards golden tones as these
skin tones naturally have more warmth.
● Dark skin tones: Opt for neutral shades that strike a balance between
blue and red undertones.

● Bronzer:
Bronzer is used to add warmth and dimension to your face, making the
skin look flushed with health. It is supposed to be applied after face
makeup and before the blush. Bronzer is brushed on the perimeter of
the face including cheeks, jawline, edges of the forehead, and nose.
You might be assuming that contour and bronzer serve the same
purpose but they can be used together because contour is used to add
dimension in your face whereas bronzer is to give you a sun-kissed
