Today, we gather here not only to mourn, but to celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman

— my mother, my father, my grandmother, and my great grandmother… all in one person. She
carried all these roles with love, strength, and sacrifice, and she fulfilled them beyond measure.
She was the heart of our family, a pillar of strength, and a source of love that reached every
single one of us. Her life was filled with purpose, deep faith, and an unwavering commitment to
those she held dear.
One thing that will forever stay with us is how prayerful she was. When she prayed, she never
rushed. She took her time, calling each one of us by name — her children, her grandchildren, her
great grandchildren, and even her great-great grandchildren — all 34 of them, including the
extended family. I remember how she would mention every name so perfectly, as if she had
memorized us like the Lord’s Prayer. That alone speaks volumes about the kind of love she had
— a love so intentional, so patient, and so full.
She had a special way of giving nicknames, names that carried deep meaning only she truly
understood. For me, she never called me Peikan or Joseph — she called me Nakorima. To this
day, I may not fully know what it meant, but I know it came from a place of love, and that is
enough for me.
Through her prayers, she covered this family with protection, guidance, and blessings. Even
when we didn’t realize it, she was always standing in the gap for us. That was her strength —
quiet, faithful, and powerful.
She lived through many seasons of life, and through it all, she remained strong, kind, and full of
grace. She taught us the importance of unity, respect, and putting God first in everything we do.
Today, we are dressed in black and white. The black symbolizes the deep sorrow we feel —
because we were not ready to let her go before she could fully enjoy the fruits of her labor. The
white symbolizes the beautiful life she lived, and the grace God gave us to have her with us for
all these years. She left at God’s perfect time — a time when she had already raised us, guided
us, and ensured that we were strong enough to stand on our own. Truly, she fought a good fight.
To me, she was more than a great grandmother — she was a blessing. Her presence brought
peace, her words brought comfort, and her life gave us a clear example of what it means to truly
love and care for others.
Even the neighbors can bear witness to the kind of woman she was. They trusted her with their
children, knowing they would be safe and cared for. The children loved being with her so much
that they would ask to return the next day. That tells us everything — she was not only loved by
family, but by everyone whose life she touched.
At this moment, we would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the neighbors Mr and
Mrs Guru , baba caro and mama caro mama Jeremy mama Salima just to mention and the the
other neighbourhoods and friends and who stood by her and supported her. Your presence, your
care, and your love did not go unnoticed.
I would love also to thank the family members my uncle bwana Joseph lopeyok and your family
you have been of great help , my cousins, my brothers and all the family members at large . In a
very special way, we want to thank our aunt, Jane Akai, who stayed with shosh until her final
moments. Your dedication, your patience, and your love are deeply appreciated. You stood by
her when she needed it most, and for that, we are forever grateful. We love you anti
Today, we may feel the pain of her absence, but we also carry the beauty of her legacy — a
legacy of faith, love, and family. And in that, she will never truly be gone. My request to the
family members the pillar of the family has fallen but the foundation is still intact let’s stay
united because that is what shosh lived to build all her life let’s not let her legacy come to an end.
Rest peacefully, great grandma. Thank you for every prayer, every sacrifice, and every moment
of love you gave us. You have fought a good fight, you have finished your race, and now you
have received your crown. The Queen is dead but long live the crown and legacy.
We will miss you dearly, great grandma but we will carry you with us forever in our hearts—
always . Resr in peace shosh.
