Final Project

Students should aim to select an organization that is already operating either locally or globally. The group will need to
create an outline of the HR strategy of the organization.

Methodology
• Approach a current employee at any local or global company i.e., HR supervisor, HR manager.
• Understand mission, vision, and strategic goals of the company.
• Identify the HR strategic Goals.
• Assess Talent Acquisition process. Test all phases of TA “How it is done in your organization?”.
• Identify some problems about TA process. And write one full statement about the problem / problems.
• Identify the main reasons, consequences, and alternatives solutions to the problem/ problems.
• Recommend and choose the best alternative, solutions and/or changes to solve the problem and what tools you
need to improve the current TA process.
• Identify how these changes will be presented and accepted by Top level Management.
• Anticipate metrics to measure success.
• Prepare power point presentation. Average 12-15 slides. Present your findings (all team will present).
• Submit both ppt and word documents online before the expected deadline.

Some possible examples of problems that exist in organizations:

• No employer branding, persona, and EVP that ensures a more attractive image of the company.
• Lack of job analysis/ job profile that produces accurate job description and job specification.
• Using wrong channels of Recruitment & Selection process.
• Using useless interviews that are not based on situational and/or behavior questions.
• Shortage of metrics to measure statistical output of TA activities.
• Absence of ways to Embrace Diversity and Inclusive.
• Lack of automation and not applying new technology in recruitment to improve effectiveness and reduce cost.

Some possible examples of relevant HR strategies, policies, and activities


• Outsource contingent employees.
• Continuing education and management development to develop skills necessary for global teamwork.
• Use internal / external channels for recruitment.
• Conduct orientation to appreciate cultural diversity.
• Enhanced internal selection process which includes pre-requisites of cross-border and cross-cultural experiences.
• Types of interviews, and tests used if needed.
• Conduct structured/ unstructured interviews.
• Organizational development activities aimed at building openness, transparency, fairness, and diversity support.
• Training and development activities to support continuous learning.
Evaluation Criteria (40%)

# Criteria Description

1 Content Is the presented information solid and appropriate to the assignment/ report? Does the
presentation contain an introduction, a conclusion and key points that lead to the conclusion? Do
the key points and claims are well supported?

2 Coherence Do presenters clearly develop a message that flows naturally from their presentation? Are
transitions smooth? Are they delivering the right amount of information? Is the presentation
concise?

3 Organization Is the presentation organized, with a clear beginning, middle and end? Do they introduce the team
members, a clear statement of the topic, and the presentation outline? Are they sticking to the
previously mentioned outline? Is it ending conclusive?

4 Visuals and Creativity Are they using clear visuals? Do the visuals help the audience to follow the presentation? Does the
presentation have originality, innovation and capture the audience’s attention?
Are they using briefed titles and key words in their slides?

5 Teamwork Does each member of the team speak equally in the presentation? Do all teams members
respond to questions? Do all team members are well knowledgeable about the presented
topic/ company?
6 Time Management Are presenters sticking to the presentation duration (15 presentation and 5 minutes Q& A)
not exceeding or beyond duration?

7 Questions Do presenters inform the audience when they would like to have questions?
Are presenters handling and replying on questions effectively? Do presenters respond to
the whole panel? Do presenters repeat and clarify confusing questions?

8 Delivery Does the presenter appear confident, prepared and enthusiastic? Does he/she have proper
volume, good posture and makes eye contact? Is he/ she reading from cards or slides?
