INTRODUCTION
Safety Information
For safe installation and operation, interior ATMs should not be installed in any exterior
locations, even with additional enclosures such as kiosks. Installation in an exterior
location will also invalidate the product’s safety certification.
Coloured areas such as handles and latches must always be used when accessing the
modules in the ATM, as stated in NCR publications. Different colours are used to denote
different purposes as follows:
Orange = module access.
Always use the orange handles, latches or levers to release and pull out the modules
from the ATM.
Green = user interaction.
Use the green areas such as latches and wheels when working within the modules,
for replenishment, jam clearance, emptying or cleaning tasks.
Yellow = safe lifting points. For second line maintenance only.
Red = hazard indicator.
CAUTION
Site Preparation
Prior to the final siting of the ATM, and before installing, ensure that the installation site
conforms to the specifications given in the publication NCR SelfServ 23 ATM Site
Preparation (B006-7244). In particular, ensure that the floor/plinth has been prepared
and the securing bolt holes drilled as detailed in the above publication.
If the ATM is being installed within a minimum footprint clearance area, cable
connections must be made before the unit is moved into its final location.
Device Configuration
Device configuration is carried out using the System Application. Refer to the NCR
publication, Self-Service Support System Application User Guide (B006-6167).
