Subject: Application for Transfer on hardship&compassionate &grounds
Respected Sir,
I respectfully submit that I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor of English at the Government
Associate College, Kot Momin. Following my promotion in 2024, I was transferred from my hometown,
Sargodha, to Kot Momin.
I am facing significant personal and professional challenges due to this dislocation. My mother is a stage-
4 Cancer patient, and my father is 78 years 78-year-old prostate patient. Both my parents are seriously ill
and require my presence and care. Unfortunately, there is no other male family member to assist my
parents, as my father, who is unable to drive due to weak eyesight and slow reflexes, is also dependent on
me, as I am the only son of my parents.
Additionally, I have to commute 80 kilometers daily, which imposes financial strain, keeping in mind my
mother’s cancer treatment, and it also exacerbates my health issues, as I am an asthmatic patient with
gradually deteriorating health. In these circumstances, it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to
fulfill my personal and professional responsibilities effectively. I physically applied for transfer on
compassionate grounds with diary no: ASE 213/7, and after that, I again applied online in 2025, but my
applications weren’t considered despite my genuine problems.
In view of the above, I kindly request that I may be transferred from Kot Momin to Sargodha, by
converting a vacant BS-18 position in Geography at Government Associate College, Chak No. 90 SB,
Sargodha. This transfer would enable me to take better care of my family and continue serving the
institution effectively.
I shall be deeply grateful for your understanding and favorable consideration.
Yours sincerely,
Umer Farooq Khan
