The Solar System
The Solar System consists of the Sun and everything that orbits around it, including planets,
moons, asteroids, and comets. There are eight planets in our Solar System: Mercury, Venus, Earth,
Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The Sun is at the center and provides energy
necessary for life on Earth. Gravity keeps all the planets in orbit around the Sun. Earth is the only
known planet that supports life due to the presence of water, atmosphere, and suitable
temperature.
