The qualities and skills that people require to be successful in today's world cannot be
learned at university or at other academic institutions. To what extent do you agree or
disagree?
It is sometimes argued that academic institutions or universities cannot provide demanded
skill sets and qualities for becoming successful nowadays. I partly agree that institutions and
universities cannot teach people to become successful.
On the one hand, being educated in university and institutions offers some clear advantages
for peoples career prospects. Firstly, this provides knowledge that can be used in individuals
future jobs. For instance, scieintific facts that can be learned only in curriculums of higher
education. Secondly, possibility to be educated by pedagogical experts that have achived
success in their fields. This also offers formal examinations that help people to rate their
knowledge and consider this for future. Moreover, there people can get academic
achievements that would be useful. In other words, qualifications like PhD provides
advancement in peoples career ladders.
