Dialogue Writing - Steps

1. Decide who is talking (characters).


2. Understand the situation or topic.
3. Write short and clear sentences.
4. Write the speaker’s name before the sentence.
5. Keep the conversation natural and logical.
6. End the dialogue properly.

Dialogue Example 1: Exam Preparation

Rahul: Hello Neha! How is your exam preparation going?


Neha: Hi Rahul! It is going well. I have finished revising two subjects.
Rahul: That’s great. I am still struggling with Mathematics.
Neha: Mathematics needs practice. Try solving problems every day.
Rahul: Yes, I will do that. How many hours do you study daily?
Neha: Around three to four hours after school.
Rahul: That sounds like a good routine.
Neha: Yes, and don’t forget to take short breaks while studying.

Dialogue Example 2: Customer and Shopkeeper

Descriptive Paragraph - Steps

My school is a wonderful place where I learn many things every day. The building is large and well

school.

Letter Writing - Steps

1. Write the sender's address.


2. Write the date.
3. Write the receiver's address (formal letters).
4. Add salutation (Dear…, Respected…).
5. Write the body of the letter.
6. End with a closing line.
7. Write your name/signature.

Informal Letter Example

maintain the water cycle. Trees provide homes for birds and animals as well.

Unfortunately, many forests are being cut down for development, which causes environmental
problems such as global warming and climate change. Therefore, it is our responsibility to protect
trees and plant more of them to ensure a greener future.

Report Writing - Steps
