I. Objectives
At the end of the 45-minute session, the pupils will be able to:
a. Recognize and illustrate one-half of a whole region;
b. Divide a given whole region into halves; and
c. Count the number of halves one whole.

A. Preparatory Activities
1. Classroom Routine
Prayer -The students will stand for the prayer, “Salamat po..”
Greetings -The teacher will greet the pupils, Good morning class! Before you
take your seat kindly pick up some piece of paper under your chair.
Attendance- Look at your seatmate and tell me who is absent for today, Row
1, Row 2, how about Row 3?
Setting of Classroom Standards –The teacher will ask what are the things you
should observe during the class hours?
Review of Past Lesson - What was our topic last meeting?
2. Motivation
- Ask the student about the pasalubong of their parents
B. Lesson Proper
1. Activity
- The teacher shows a picture of a pizza.
2. Analysis.
The teacher will ask the following questions:
1. How many parts do we have after cutting?
2. Are the part equal?
3. What do we call each part?
3. Abstraction.
The teacher will discuss the following concepts.
Fractions – represents a part of a whole that has been equal divided.
4. Application.
The pupil’s colors one-half of different shapes.
Generalization.
The student will be fold a piece of paper and explain in their own words how to divide a
whole into halves.
-How many halves make one whole??
