Process Engineer (Contract – 6 months)

Location: Remote

Start date: June/July 2026

Contract: Fixed-term (6 months)

Experience: 5 – 9 years

Your mission

As a Process Engineer, you will support our engineering and R&D teams in process
modelling, simulation and optimisation of our CO₂ storage technology.

Your main objective will be to develop and improve process models to support plant
design and scale-up.

Your responsibilities

Process modelling and simulation

• Develop and maintain process models using Aspen Plus or Aspen HYSYS

• Simulate CO₂ capture, injection and mineralisation processes

• Analyse mass and energy balances across the system

Process optimisation

• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and CO₂ storage capacity

• Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario modelling

• Support scale-up of existing pilot and commercial plants

Engineering support

• Work closely with R&D and process engineering teams

• Support design decisions for future plants

• Contribute to technical documentation and engineering reports


Data and model integration

• Use operational plant data to validate and refine process models

• Collaborate with data and operations teams to improve model accuracy

Your profile

Required

• M.E/ MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or similar field

• Experience with process simulation tools, especially: Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS

• Strong understanding of: mass and energy balances, chemical or industrial processes

• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial startup environment

• Fluent in English

Nice to have

• Experience in CO₂ capture, mineralisation, or gas processing

• Experience in pilot plants or industrial scale-up

• Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or data analysis tools

• German is a plus
