Round 1

We want to test the following skills: Data Preparation, data cleaning, manipulation and
visualization

You are free to use Excel/Python/Tableau/PowerBI for the purpose of visualization- submission
PDF and cleaned dataset

You have to perform the following tasks:

Data Cleaning:

○ Deleting redundant columns.

○ Renaming the columns.
○ Dropping duplicates.
○ Cleaning individual columns.
○ Remove the NaN values from the dataset
○ Check for some more Transformations

Answer the following using visualisations

1. Market & Pricing Dynamics

● The Pricing Sweet Spot: Does a higher cost for two people correlate with a higher
rating?
● Cost Distribution by Location: Is "Whitefield" more expensive for dining than
"Koramangala"?
● The Price of Online Convenience: Is there a significant price difference between
restaurants that offer online ordering versus those that don't?

2. Deep Dives into Popularity

● The "Hype" Factor: Do restaurants with a high number of votes actually have higher
ratings?
● Cuisine Diversity vs. Rating: If a restaurant serves 3+ cuisines, is it rated better than a
specialized single-cuisine spot?
3. Geographical Trends

● The "Foodie" Hubs: Which locations have the highest concentration of "High Rated"
(4.0+) restaurants?
● Service Type Availability by Area: In "Indiranagar," what is the most common service
type available (e.g., is it mostly "Pubs" or "Delivery")?

4. Operational Insights

● Impact of Table Booking on Engagement: Do restaurants that allow table bookings

get significantly more reviews (votes) than those that don't?
● Rating Consistency across Chains: For the top 5 restaurant chains (like KFC or
Empire), how much does the rating vary across different branches?

All the best!
