Programming knowledge: at least one


language (Python, C++, Java, etc.),
pseudocode, variables, input/output,
simple algorithms, conditional statements

Cipher basics: Caesar cipher, Atbash


cipher, Vigenère cipher, Rail Fence cipher

Requirements Before Event Day

Teams must bring their own laptops


(round 3)

Required software and programming


environments must be installed
beforehand

Familiarity with at least one


programming language is mandatory

Round 1: Tech Quiz
MCQ-based quiz displayed on a projector

Each question will have 5 options

Each team will be provided a placard with their


team name.

The first team to press the buzzer gets to


answer

Correct answer: +3 points

Incorrect answer: –2 points

Any issues regarding the buzzers will be


discussed by the management and resolved
accordingly.

This is a knock out round and ⅓ of teams with


the lowest points will be disqualified.

Points base: After a raffle, all teams will be


allocated into groups of 3 to 5. Within these
groups, teams will compete for points. Each
question will be answered by the first person
to press the buzzer.

Round 2: Stack-Up Puzzle
Teams will solve a multi-layered logic and
calculation-based puzzle requiring knowledge
of Boolean logic, data conversions, and use
knowledge of basic ciphers

to decipher the final solution.

Speed and accuracy will be used to award


points and clues to solve the WORD will be
given

Note: no one will be eliminated this round

Points base: points will be allocated on


finishing speeds

Example:

finish in the first 10 minutes= 50 points

Finish in 20 minutes= 40 points ect

Round 3: Programming Challenge
Teams will create a computer program using
any programming language, library, or
framework

Parameters will include purpose, use,


aesthetics, and code requirements

Judging criteria: Creativity, code quality,


optimization, UI/UX, and functionality
