animal, lugar, etc.
Prepositions of place

• On = Sobre

Example : The computer is on the table.

The Tv is on the wall.

Above = Encima de

Example : The Tv is above the table.

Over = Encima de

Example : The plane is over the city.

• Under = Debajo de
Example: The board is under the
ceiling.
• In front of = Delante de
Example: My friend is in front of me.

• Opposite = Delante de
Example: The boy is opposite the girl.
• Behind = Detrás de
Example: The kid is behind the chair.
• Between = Entre (2 objects)
Example: The cat is between the boxes.

• Among = Entre (more than 2)


Example: José is among us.
• In = Dentro de
Example: The apprentices are
in the classroom
• Next to = junto a
Example: My house is next to the neighbor house

• Near = Cerca de
Example: My school is near my house

• Beside = a lado de
Example: The tree is beside my house
