not?
Our faculty coordinator definitely served the function of being a great mentor throughout the

internship program and take it seriously. Their clear understanding of HR management
concepts, combined with their supportive and encouraging approach, helped me develop
confidence in navigating real-world HR challenges. Their timely feedback and constructive

During my internship at Digitide Solutions Limited, I was largely able to accomplish the initial
goals and tasks outlined in my learning contract. I successfully assisted with talent acquisition

familiarity with professional documentation. Beyond the set goals, I gained exposure to
employee engagement activities and HR compliance processes, which gave me a broader
perspective on how HR functions operate within a growing IT company. Some goals, such as
independently handling the full recruitment cycle for senior roles, were not fully accomplished
due to time constraints, but observing the senior HR team manage these tasks added significant
value to my overall learning.

PREFACE (EXECUTIVE SUMMARY)
This report presents a comprehensive overview of my internship experience as an HR Recruiter
Intern at Digitide Solutions Limited. The internship was an invaluable opportunity to apply the
theoretical knowledge gained through my Bachelor of Management Studies programme to the
practical world of Human Resource Management. Working within a technology-driven
organization gave me a unique perspective on how modern HR practices are executed in a fast-
paced, digital environment.
Throughout the three-month tenure from November 2025 to February 2026, I was assigned a
range of responsibilities that helped me understand the complete lifecycle of recruitment and
HR management. My work involved drafting job descriptions, sourcing and screening
candidates, coordinating interview schedules, issuing offer letters, and managing the
onboarding process for new employees. These tasks provided me with hands-on exposure to
real-time HR operations and allowed me to bridge the gap between academic concepts and
professional application.
The internship also helped me develop critical professional competencies. I strengthened my
communication and interpersonal skills, learned to prioritize tasks efficiently under pressure, and
gained confidence in working with cross-functional teams. The experience of managing multiple
recruitment pipelines simultaneously was particularly enriching, as it developed my multitasking
ability and attention to detail.
The following report is structured to provide a clear and comprehensive account of my learning
journey at Digitide Solutions Limited. It begins with an introduction to the organization and the
nature of its HR department, followed by a detailed description of the internship programme,
weekly activities, learning outcomes, challenges faced, and recommendations for future interns.
The report concludes with a personal reflection on how this internship has shaped my
understanding of Human Resource Management and reinforced my commitment to building a
career in this field.
Overall, this internship has been one of the most enriching phases of my academic and
professional development. It gave me a real-world understanding of how HR functions
contribute to organizational success, and it has deepened my appreciation for the complexities
and responsibilities inherent in talent management and employee relations.

Chapter IV: Analysis of Learning Outcomes
4.1 Technical Skills Developed
The internship at Digitide Solutions Limited provided me with a comprehensive set of technical
HR competencies that I could not have developed through classroom learning alone. The key
technical skills I acquired and refined include:
4.1.1 Talent Sourcing and Search Techniques
I developed proficiency in advanced candidate sourcing techniques, including Boolean search
operators on LinkedIn and Naukri. I learned how to craft targeted search queries that
significantly improve the quality and relevance of candidate results. This skill is fundamental to
modern recruitment practice and represents one of the most valuable technical capabilities I
developed during the internship.
4.1.2 Resume Evaluation and Competency Mapping
Through the consistent screening of hundreds of resumes across diverse roles and industries, I
developed a sharp ability to assess candidate profiles quickly and accurately. I learned how to
map candidate qualifications and experience against defined competency frameworks, enabling
me to shortlist candidates who are genuinely suited to the role rather than simply ticking basic
qualification boxes.
4.1.3 ATS Proficiency
Working with the company's Applicant Tracking System gave me practical experience with one
of the most important tools in modern HR management. I learned how to log and update
candidate profiles, track recruitment stages, and generate status reports. This experience will be
directly applicable in any future HR role I undertake.
4.1.4 HR Documentation and Compliance
Assisting with offer letters, onboarding documentation, and employee records gave me a strong
understanding of the legal and administrative dimensions of HR practice. I developed accuracy
and attention to detail in preparing and reviewing HR documents to ensure compliance with
organizational standards and legal requirements.
4.2 Soft Skills and Professional Competencies Developed
Beyond technical knowledge, the internship significantly enhanced my professional
competencies across several important dimensions:

4.2.1 Communication Skills
Conducting telephonic screenings, sending professional emails, and interacting with candidates
and clients on a daily basis dramatically improved my verbal and written communication skills. I
learned how to adapt my communication style to different audiences, maintain professionalism
in all interactions, and convey information clearly and concisely.
4.2.2 Time Management and Prioritization
Managing multiple recruitment pipelines simultaneously, each with different timelines and
urgency levels, was one of the greatest challenges and learning opportunities of the internship. I
developed strong time management skills and learned how to prioritize tasks effectively to
ensure all deadlines were met without compromising on quality.
4.2.3 Attention to Detail
HR processes demand a high degree of accuracy, particularly in documentation and candidate
evaluation. The internship trained me to be meticulous in my work, checking details carefully
and ensuring that all outputs met the required standard before submission.
4.2.4 Interpersonal Skills and Team Collaboration
Working within a professional HR team taught me the importance of collaboration, mutual
respect, and open communication in a workplace setting. I developed the ability to work
effectively within a team, contribute constructively to group discussions, and support colleagues
in achieving shared objectives.
4.3 Application of Academic Knowledge
The internship provided a powerful platform for applying the theoretical knowledge I had gained
through my BMS programme. Several key academic concepts were directly reflected in my day-
to-day work:
• Job Analysis Theory: The process of drafting job descriptions directly applied the
principles of job analysis I had studied academically, including role identification, task
analysis, and competency mapping.
• Recruitment and Selection Models: The systematic screening, evaluation, and selection
process I participated in mirrored the structured recruitment and selection models
covered in my HR coursework.
• Organizational Behaviour: Observing team dynamics, management styles, and inter-
departmental relationships within Digitide Solutions Limited provided a live illustration of
organizational behaviour theories.
• Training and Development: Assisting in onboarding orientation gave me a practical
understanding of how employee induction and early training contribute to long-term
retention and performance.

Chapter V: Challenges Faced during the Internship
5.1 Introduction
Every professional experience comes with its own set of challenges, and my internship at
Digitide Solutions Limited was no exception. While the overall experience was overwhelmingly
positive and enriching, I encountered several challenges that tested my resilience, adaptability,
and problem-solving ability. Overcoming these challenges was an important part of my
professional development and contributed significantly to my growth as an aspiring HR
professional.
5.2 Managing High Volume of Recruitment Activities
One of the most significant challenges I encountered was managing a high volume of
recruitment activities simultaneously. During peak periods, I was expected to handle multiple
open positions across different departments, each with its own sourcing requirements,
screening criteria, and interview timelines. Keeping track of all pipelines without missing
deadlines or letting candidate engagement slip required exceptional organizational discipline.
To address this challenge, I developed a systematic approach using detailed spreadsheet
trackers, daily priority lists, and regular check-ins with my supervisor to ensure that nothing fell
through the cracks. This experience was invaluable in building my multitasking capabilities and
teaching me how to manage pressure gracefully.
5.3 Candidate No-Shows and Drop-Offs
A recurring challenge during the internship was the phenomenon of candidate no-shows at
scheduled interviews and drop-offs at the offer stage. Despite thorough preparation and timely
communication, several candidates either failed to attend their scheduled interviews or declined
offers after initially accepting them.
This experience taught me the importance of candidate engagement throughout the recruitment
cycle, not just at key decision points. I learned strategies such as more frequent touchpoints,
personalized communication, and proactive expectation management to reduce drop-off rates.
5.4 Understanding Technical Job Requirements
As someone with a background in management rather than technical fields, I initially found it
challenging to fully understand the technical job requirements for certain IT and engineering
roles. Accurately screening resumes and evaluating candidates for roles requiring specific
technical skills was particularly demanding in the early weeks.
CHM College, Mumbai University | Academic Year 2025–2026 | Page 33
Internship Report | Sakshi Korgaonkar | HR Recruiter | Digitide Solutions Limited
I addressed this challenge by proactively seeking clarification from technical team leads and
hiring managers, studying relevant job descriptions, and researching key technical concepts to
build sufficient domain familiarity to screen candidates effectively.
5.5 Communicating with Difficult Candidates
On several occasions, I encountered candidates who were either overly demanding,
unresponsive, or difficult to communicate with. Managing such interactions professionally while
maintaining a positive candidate experience required patience, empathy, and strong
communication skills.
My supervisor's guidance was invaluable in navigating these situations. I learned how to de-
escalate tense interactions, set clear expectations, and maintain professionalism even in
challenging conversations, skills that will serve me well throughout my HR career.
5.6 Adapting to Fast-Paced Organizational Dynamics
The dynamic and fast-paced nature of a professional HR services environment required
constant adaptability. Priorities shifted regularly, new requirements were added frequently, and
timelines were often compressed. Adapting to this environment while maintaining quality in all
tasks was a significant challenge, particularly in the initial weeks.
Over time, I developed greater comfort with ambiguity and learned to embrace the dynamic
nature of HR work rather than feeling overwhelmed by it. This shift in mindset was one of the
most important personal developments of the internship.
5.7 Summary
The challenges I encountered during my internship at Digitide Solutions Limited were significant
contributors to my overall professional development. Each obstacle presented an opportunity to
learn, adapt, and grow. I am grateful for the support and guidance provided by my supervisor
and colleagues, which helped me navigate these challenges effectively and emerge as a more
capable and resilient HR professional.

Chapter VI: Recommendations for Future Interns
6.1 Introduction
Based on my experience as an HR Recruiter Intern at Digitide Solutions Limited, I have
developed several recommendations that I believe would be highly valuable for future interns
joining the organization. These recommendations are drawn from my own learnings, challenges,
and observations throughout the three-month internship and are intended to help future interns
maximize the value of their experience.
6.2 Prepare Thoroughly Before Joining
Future interns would benefit greatly from preparing themselves before their first day at the
organization. Specific areas of preparation include:
• Familiarizing oneself with fundamental HR concepts, particularly in recruitment,
selection, and onboarding.
• Learning the basics of commonly used job portals such as Naukri, LinkedIn, and Indeed.
• Developing a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, which is used extensively for
recruitment tracking.
• Researching the company, its services, and its key clients to demonstrate initiative and
engagement during the induction.
6.3 Embrace Every Task with Enthusiasm
Even seemingly routine tasks such as updating spreadsheets or following up with candidates
contain valuable learning opportunities. Future interns should approach every assignment,
regardless of scale, with full commitment and professionalism. Demonstrating enthusiasm and a
positive attitude consistently helps build credibility and trust with the team.
6.4 Develop Strong Communication Skills
Communication is the cornerstone of HR practice. Future interns are advised to invest time in
developing their verbal and written communication capabilities before and during the internship.
In particular:
• Practice clear, concise, and professional email writing for candidate and client
correspondence.
• Work on telephonic communication skills, including tone, articulation, and active
listening.
• Learn how to ask effective questions to extract the information needed during screening
conversations.

Internship Report | Sakshi Korgaonkar | HR Recruiter | Digitide Solutions Limited
6.5 Be Proactive and Ask Questions
One of the most effective ways to accelerate learning during an internship is to be genuinely
curious and proactive. Future interns should not hesitate to ask questions when they are unsure
about a task or concept. Seeking clarification is far better than making avoidable mistakes, and
it demonstrates a learning-oriented mindset that supervisors appreciate.
6.6 Maintain Detailed Notes and a Daily Activity Log
Keeping a detailed record of daily tasks, key learnings, and observations is immensely valuable
for both professional growth and the preparation of the internship report. Future interns should
maintain a structured daily log from day one to ensure that no important experiences or insights
are forgotten.
6.7 Build Relationships within the Organization
The relationships built during an internship often have lasting professional value. Future interns
should make the effort to connect meaningfully with colleagues across the team, not just their
immediate supervisors. Networking within the organization can open doors to future
opportunities and provides a broader perspective on the company's operations.
6.8 Request Feedback Regularly
Actively seeking feedback from supervisors and colleagues throughout the internship is one of
the most effective ways to identify areas for improvement and demonstrate a commitment to
growth. Future interns should not wait for formal evaluation sessions but should proactively
request informal feedback at regular intervals.
6.9 Summary
An internship at Digitide Solutions Limited is a rich and rewarding professional experience that
offers unparalleled exposure to real-world HR operations. By approaching the experience with
preparation, enthusiasm, proactivity, and a genuine desire to learn, future interns can maximize
the value of their time at the organization and lay a strong foundation for a successful career in
Human Resource Management.
