A. We played “hot potato chip” and realized that the potato chip is very fragile. This commandment teaches us that life is very fragile and
must be respected.
B. We looked at different brand names like Target, Pepsi, and Apple Computer and realized that they “stand for” something. This
commandment teaches us that God has a name and we are called to respect it and all that it stands for.
C. We saw that a piece of metal has a natural attraction to a magnet but that other things can get in the way. This commandment teaches
us that we have a natural attraction to God and that we shouldn’t let other things get in the way.
D. We divided up 100 pennies to show how the wealth of the world is truly divided and it wasn’t fair. This commandment teaches us to
share with others and not take what does not belong to us.
E. We saw a demonstration of how water was made impure with food coloring and then made pure again with bleach. This
commandment teaches us not to have impure desires about other people.
F. We saw someone play “Let’s Make a Deal” and instead of being happy with what he had, he went for more and lost. This
commandment teaches us to be happy with what we have and to not desire what belongs to others.
G. We saw a demonstration of someone exercising with a weight or dumbbell and learned that muscles grow after exercise when they
are at rest. This commandment teaches us that in order to grow spiritually we must set aside one day a week to rest and worship God.
H. We played a game of Simon Says which teaches us to listen to a voice of authority. This commandment teaches us to respect our
parents and other people in positions of authority.
I. We listened to someone tell us 5 statements: 4 of them were false and only 1 was true. This commandment teaches us to speak the
truth all the time.
J. We did word analogies to see that some words have natural relationships. This commandment teaches us to respect the natural
relationship between a man and a woman in marriage.
