1. How does the Rogerian style of argument help you better understand the topic you are
dwelling on? Why is it desirable to balance the two sides of the issue when writing an essay
about a controversial topic?
This Rogieran argument method provides a better understanding of the problem by

exploring the greater concerns and values that are at the core of each side of the issue. Admitting

both views helps us develop a complete understanding of the matter, allowing us to understand it

in a complex and nuanced way. This method teaches interaction with different opinions that

create empathy and mutual respect, which leads to the constructive negotiation process and the

possibility of finding the middle way.

2. Why is the Rogerian approach a good tool to reflect on your standpoint when you are

writing an argumentative essay?

The Rogerian approach makes it clear that the process of forming my argumentative

essay should include a proper analysis of various points of view, including my own, and allow

me to incorporate others' thoughts. Earnestly politely meeting with different opinions can help

me determine the value of my argument and avoid bringing up potential weaknesses or

counterarguments that might be legitimate. This technique will shape my intellectual humility

and help me present my ideas engagingly and convincingly.
