Essential Points for Assessment in Integrated Humanities:
● The paper will include questions from all 4 units of Integrated Humanities together.
● The paper will include source-based questions that will require students to use their knowledge
and understanding from the MYP IH classes, as well as the sources collectively, to answer short
and long-response questions.
● The duration of the exam will be 120 mins; 2 hours.
● Component: On-Screen Examination to assess Objective A, B, C & D - 120 min.

The assessment will cater to all four Objectives of Integrated Humanities:-

● Objective A is Knowing and Understanding, where teachers try to evaluate knowledge and
understanding about the topics, concepts, problems, and issues, as well as the subject-specific
terminologies from all the units covered.
● Objective B is Investigating, which requires students to understand the investigation as per
the strands and formulate research questions, justify it by linking to the SOI/context, create
action plans, provide the primary and secondary sources, and evaluate the process.
● Objective C is Communicating, which requires students to communicate their ideas,
responses, knowledge, and/or findings appropriately as per the specified format and to the
specific audience. It also looks at students' capability of documenting the sources appropriately
as per the provided conventions.
● Objective D is Thinking Critically, which requires students to think critically, in terms of
interpreting the source, data, maps, theories, visual representation, etc. It also looks into
understanding and implicating different perspectives. It figures out how effectively students
analyze a source and synthesize information to make valid, well-supported arguments.

Important points for Assessment in Language and Literature:

● The Paper will cater to both units of Language and Literature covered so far in IB, in an
e-assessment-type format.
The Paper will include source-based questions that will require students to use their prior knowledge
and acquired knowledge from the MYP L&L concepts, as well as the sources collectively, to answer
short and long-response questions.
● While most forms of writing have been mentioned in the syllabus for reference, the list is
inexhaustible (as is in the IB eAssessments).
● The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes.
● Component: Online Examination to assess Objective A, B, C, & D

The assessment will cater to all four criteria of Language and Literature:-
● Criterion A is Analysing, wherein students demonstrate an understanding of the creator’s choices,
the relationship between the various components of a text and between texts, and make inferences
about audience responses and creators’ purposes. Students use the text to support their own
responses and reflect on different perspectives and interpretations.

● Criterion B is Organising, wherein students understand and organise their ideas and opinions using
a range of appropriate conventions for different forms and purposes of communication. Students
recognise the importance of maintaining academic honesty, respecting intellectual property rights, and
accurately citing all sources.

● Criterion C is Producing Text, wherein students produce written text, focusing on the creative
process itself and on the understanding of the connection between the creator and his or her audience.
Students make choices that aim to produce texts that affect both the creator and the audience.

● Criterion D is Use of Language, wherein students develop, organise, and express themselves and
communicate thoughts, ideas, and information. They use accurate and varied language that is
appropriate to the context and intention.

Important points for Assessment in Mathematics Extended:

● The paper will consist of short, medium, and long response questions.
● Students will be evaluated based solely on the Standard and Extended Mathematics curriculum,
covering all topics taught up to Grade 9, including material from the PYP and MYP programs.
● You may be required to do rough work, so please keep stationery with you for the same. Journal
sheets for rough work shall be provided to you. However, these will not be taken as
submissions.
● The assessment will be divided into 3 broad sections which will be Criteria A, B & D respectively,
where Criterion C will be implicitly assessed across all 3 sections.
● The duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
● No offline calculators will be allowed. Only online calculators for which the link will be provided in
the paper itself.
● Component: Online Examination to assess Objective A, B, C & D - on Formative.

Objective A (Listening), Objective B (Reading), and Objective D (Writing): Students will receive
audio-visual and text stimuli, along with the exam paper, via Google Docs. These materials will align
with the assessed criteria for the given topics. Students must answer all questions exclusively in the
target language (Hindi).

(ii) Component 2 - Oral/Speaking (15 mins):

Objective C Speaking: The exam schedule will be shared with the students by the subject leader and
will be tentatively held from April 2, 2026 to April 9, 2026. Students must respond to the provided
stimuli and engage in a question-and-answer interaction with the examiner.

Other Instructions:-
● A fully charged Chromebook, stationery and wired earphones for the Component 1 Exam will be
required.
● All the resources, like planners, central presentations, worksheets, etc, are available on Curricle
