[INTRODUCTION PART]

TERESA: Good morning, everyone! Welcome to Cultural 2024 a celebration of

BOTH: “Strengthening Values through Intellectual Pursuits, Culture, and Arts”

TERESA: My name is Ma. Teresa B. Santos, together with my partner, _______ we

are thrilled to be your host today as we embark on a vibrant journey
celebrating the richness of our diverse cultures

PATRICIO: Today, we’ll be treated to an exciting line-up of performances, displays,

and activities that highlight the traditions, arts, and stories that shape our
communities. This event is not just about showcasing talent; it’s about
fostering understanding and appreciation among different cultures.

TERESA: As we enjoy today’s activities, let’s remember the importance of

connection and respect. I encourage you all to immerse yourselves, engage
with the performers, and embrace the beauty of our shared humanity.

PATRICIO: So, let us not prolong the agony of waiting. Let’s now formally start this
program. May I request everyone to stand for the prayer to be lead by
Ma’am Jolyn Jugao and this will be followed by singing of the National
Anthem and Capiz Hymn to be lead by Ma’am Pebi B. Blando.

TERESA: Please be seated, Now, let us welcome our beloved and well-respected
president/owner of this institution Ma’am Sonia M. Little for her welcome
remarks. Let’s give her a big hand.

PATRICIO: Thank you so much Ma’am Sonia for your words of encouragement that
you have given to us!

TERESA: At this juncture, let us get to know our judges. May I call on Ma’am. Jessa
D. Dayang Grade 9 adviser to present to us our judges and tabulators.
PATRICIO: Thank you so much ma’am Jessa. Now, may I call on Ma’am Joyce J.
Delcano Grade 7 adviser to read the criteria for judging on today’s
activities.

TERESA: Thank you so much ma’am Joyce. Today’s event is not just about
entertainment, but about strengthening the very values that make us
humans: curiosity, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the beauty and
wisdom that surrounds us.

PATRICIO: That’s right partner! Because a cultural event is a celebration of how

intellectual pursuits, culture, and arts empower us to build a more
fulfilling and meaningful life.

MORNING EVENTS

[Storytelling Competition]

TERESA: Story telling is a powerful art form, that has captivated humans for
millennia. It’s more that just sharing a sequence of event its about
connecting with other in a deeper level. Transporting them to different
worlds, and leaving a lasting impact.

At this moment, let us begin with the story telling competition. Calling the
attention of all the participants, to please prepare and proceed at the back
stage.

I think all the contestants are now ready!!

PATRICIO: Ladies and gentlemen! let’s all welcome our first storyteller from the

[Filipino & English Declamation]

TERESA: At this juncture lets now proceed, to the Filipino declamation and English
declamation.

PATRICIO: Our national hero Jose Rizal, once said “Ang hindi magmahal sa sariling
wika, ay higit pa sa hayop at malansang isda”. This powerful statement
reminds us of the profound connection between language and identity.

TERESA: That’s right partner, because our language is not just a tool for
communication, it is the very essence of our culture, our history and our
heritage.

PATRICIO: Remember, a powerful declamation is not just about reciting words; it’s
about bringing the message to life and inspiring your audience.

TERESA: Calling the attention of all the participants, to please proceed and prepare
at the back stage. I think they are all now ready.

PATRICIO: Our first declaimer is ready to ignite our hearts with their words! Let us all

filled with vocal solo, vocal duet and contemporary dance competition.

For the information of our participants, the winners for this morning
events will be announced this afternoon.

PATRICIO: We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our performers,

presenters, and participants for sharing your talents and passions with us.
Your dedication to preserving and celebrating our culture is truly
inspiring.

BOTH: Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen!

TERESA: Welcome back, everyone! I hope you’ve enjoyed a refreshing break and
are ready to continue our cultural journey this afternoon. This morning we
were immersed in the beauty and depth of “strengthening values through
intellectual pursuits, cultures, and arts”. We witnessed the power of
Storytelling competition and Filipino & English declamation.
PATRICIO: Now, were going to delve deeper into our cultural event this afternoon,
through vocal solo, vocal duet and contemporary dance competition. Were
so excited to experience the creativity, knowledge, and passion that you’ll
bring to these activities. Let’s continue to celebrate, learn and connect as
we explore the richness of our culture together.

TERESA: We’re about to experience some incredible vocal talent today. Get ready to
be moved by the power and beauty of the human voice. Calling the

its way into various art forms, including theatre, music videos, and film.
Its versatility allows dancers to use movement to tell stories, create
characters and evoke emotions, making it a powerful and engaging art
form.

TERESA: This time were about to witness the incredible artistry and athleticism of
contemporary dance. Get ready to be moved by the raw emotion, the
expressive power, and the sheer talent of these amazing dancers.
