1. Overview of Electronics: Recap of circuit theory: Voltage, current, resistance, power (building
on 1st-year background); Analog vs. digital electronics: Key differences and applications;
Electronics in daily life and engineering: Smart devices, automation, energy systems, National
and global trends and roadmap towards electronic self-reliance.

2. Diodes, Transistors and Op Amps: Diode operation: PN junction, forward/reverse bias


(conceptual, minimal math), Transistors: BJT and MOSFET (structure, operation as
switch/amplifier); Op-amps: Basic operation, Different configurations.

3. Digital Electronics: Logic gates; Basic arithmetic and logic circuits.

4. Instrumentation: Data Acquisition, Different types of Transducers, Instrumentation Amplifier.

5. Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems, Sensors and Actuators: Microcontrollers: Overview


(e.g., Arduino, PIC, or similar platforms); Embedded systems: Role in IoT, robotics,
automation; Applications: Smart homes, automotive systems, industrial control; Sensors:
Temperature, pressure, light, motion (principles and applications); Actuators: Motors, relays;
Biomedical devices, environmental monitoring, robotics.
