HOMETOWN

1. Where is your hometown?


My hometown is Hai Duong province. It is a peaceful rural area with a quiet environment and friendly
people. It is not very crowded, so life there is quite relaxing and comfortable.

2. What do you like most about your hometown?


I like the peaceful atmosphere the most. Life there is quiet and not too busy, so people feel more
relaxed and less stressed. In addition, the air is cleaner and the environment is more natural, which
makes it a comfortable place to live.

3. Is your hometown a good place for young people? Why?


I think it is quite a good place for young people. It is safe and people are very friendly, so it is easy to
build good relationships. However, there are not many job opportunities or higher education options, so
many young people choose to move to bigger cities for work or study.

4. Has your hometown changed much in recent years?


Yes, it has changed /ʤ/ quite a lot in recent years. The roads are better, and there are more houses and
small businesses now. As a result, people’s lives have become more convenient, although it is still a
peaceful place.
JOB – EMPLOYMENT
1. Do you work or are you a student?
I’m currently a second-year student majoring in Chemistry Education at Hanoi National University of
Education.

2. Why did you choose your major?


I chose my major because chemistry was the subject I was best at in high school. I found it easier to
understand compared /d/ to other subjects, and I usually got good grades. Over time, I also developed a
real interest in it, so studying Chemistry Education felt like a natural choice for me.

3. Do you think it is important to plan your career early?


Yes, I think it is quite important to plan your career early. If you have a clear goal, you can choose the
right subjects to study and develop the necessary skills step by step. This can save a lot of time and
help you avoid making wrong decisions in the future.
TRAVEL
1. Do you like travelling?
Yes, I really enjoy travelling. It gives me a chance to relax and escape from my daily routine. I also
love exploring new places, trying different kinds of food, and learning about other cultures. I think
travelling helps me broaden my mind and become more open to new experiences.

2. Where did you go on your last holiday: mountains or beaches?


On my last holiday, I went to the beach. I chose it because I wanted to unwind and enjoy the fresh air. I
spent most of my time swimming, walking along the shore, and watching the sunset, which was
absolutely beautiful. It was a very peaceful and refreshing trip.

3. What kind of places do you prefer when you travel?


I usually prefer places that are close to nature, like beaches or mountainous areas. I find them very
relaxing and less crowded compared to big cities. However, I also enjoy going to places that offer
something new and unfamiliar, which makes the trip more memorable.

I usually travel with my friends because it’s more fun and exciting. We can share experiences, take
photos together, and try new activities. However, sometimes I also like travelling with my family
because it gives us a chance to spend quality time together and strengthen our relationship.

1. What kind of media do you use most?
I mostly use social media and online platforms. I spend quite a lot of time on apps like Facebook or
Tiktok to stay connected with others and keep myself entertained. I find them very convenient because
I can access a wide range of content anytime and anywhere.

2. Do you often watch TV or online videos?


I prefer watching online videos rather than traditional TV. It’s more flexible since I can choose what I
want to watch and when to watch it. I usually watch videos on YouTube, especially educational content
or short entertainment clips, which helps me both relax and learn new things.

3. How do you get news, online or from newspapers? Why?


I usually get news online because it’s much faster and more up-to-date. I can easily check the latest
information on my phone within seconds. Besides, online news often includes videos and images,
which makes it more engaging and easier to understand compared to printed newspapers.
