Topic: A place where do you live to live (nơi sinh sống)

1. Where the place is?

2. How long do you live there?
3. What it looks like?
4. Why do you like this place?
I live in Ho Chi Minh City, which is located in the south of Vietnam. It’s the biggest and most
developed city in the country, and also known as the economic and cultural center of Vietnam.
I have lived here for over five years. I moved here to study and work, and over time, it has
become like a second home to me. I really enjoy the energy and pace of life here.
The city is modern and very dynamic. There are many tall buildings, shopping centers, coffee
shops, and restaurants everywhere. At the same time, you can still find historical sites like the
Notre-Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market, and old French architecture. The streets are always
busy, full of motorbikes, people, and activity.
I like Ho Chi Minh City because it’s full of opportunities. It’s a great place to study, find a job,
and meet people from all over the world. Even though the traffic and noise can be stressful
sometimes, the lively atmosphere, good food, and friendly people make it an exciting place to
live.
Topic: Describe a time when you were ill (bị bệnh)
1. When this was?
2. What your symptoms were?
3. How long the illness lasted?
4. How it affected your life at the time?
I’d like to talk about a time I was sick with the flu, which happened about six months ago
during the rainy season.
At first, I had a sore throat and a runny nose, but after one day, it got worse. I had a high
fever, a bad headache, and felt very tired. I also lost my appetite and didn’t want to do
anything.
The illness lasted for about four or five days. During that time, I had to take medicine, drink
warm water, and stay in bed most of the time. I couldn’t go to work or hang out with my friends.
It was very uncomfortable and boring.
It affected my life because I missed some important tasks at work, and I had to cancel a
weekend plan with my friends. But on the positive side, it reminded me how important it is to
take care of my health—like eating well, getting enough sleep, and not working too hard.
Topic: Describe a healthy exercise you know (Bài tập thể dục nào bạn biết mà tốt cho sức
khỏe)
1. What the exercise is
2. What equipment is needed for it
3. How it is done
4. Why you think it is healthy
One healthy exercise I know is jogging. It’s a very simple and popular form of physical activity
that many people do to stay fit.
The good thing about jogging is that you don’t need any special equipment, just a good pair of
running shoes and comfortable clothes. Some people also use a smartwatch or fitness tracker,
but it’s not necessary.
Jogging is quite easy to do. You can jog outdoors in a park, on the street, or on a running
track. Some people prefer jogging on a treadmill at the gym. You start with a warm-up, then jog
at a steady pace, and finally cool down to avoid injury.
I think jogging is very healthy because it helps improve your heart and lungs, burns calories,
and reduces stress. It also increases your energy and helps you sleep better. That’s why I believe
jogging is one of the best and easiest ways to stay healthy.
Topic: Staying healthy (giữ gìn sức khỏe)
1. What are some other activities that can help you stay healthy? Một số hoạt động giúp bạn giữ
gìn sk
2. What do you do every day to stay healthy? Bạn làm gì với nó.
3. What are some activities that can cause healthy problems? Những hoạt động gì gây ảnh
hưởng đến sk
4. Which kinds of exercise do you do? Những bài tập
5. How often do you do them?
6. How do you plan to stay healthy in the future?
Staying healthy is very important to me, and there are many activities that can help. Some common ones are doing
exercise, eating healthy food, sleeping well, and drinking enough water. These habits can make your body stronger and
help you feel better every day.

To stay healthy, I try to eat more vegetables and fruits, drink a lot of water, and avoid fast food. I also try to get at least
7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. These small habits really make a difference.

On the other hand, there are some activities that can cause health problems, like smoking, drinking too much alcohol,
eating too much junk food, and staying up too late. Also, sitting too much without moving, especially for people who
work on computers, is not good for health.

I usually do simple exercises like jogging and playing football. I also stretch and walk when I have free time. I try to do
these about three to four times a week, depending on my schedule.

In the future, I plan to stay healthy by keeping my good habits, exercising more regularly, and going for health checkups
once a year. I also want to learn how to cook more healthy meals at home instead of eating out too often.
Topic: A lesson that you remember well (1 bài học làm bạn nhớ)
1. What the course was about?
2. Where you had it?
3. Why you remember it?
4. Explain why it impressed you a lot?
One lesson that I remember well was an English speaking lesson I had during my first year at
university. The lesson was about giving presentations in English.
It took place in a classroom at my university, and the teacher asked each student to prepare a
short presentation about their favorite topic. I was very nervous at first because my English
wasn’t very good and I didn’t have much confidence in speaking in front of others.
I remember this lesson clearly because it was the first time I spoke English in front of the
whole class. Even though I made some mistakes, my teacher and classmates were very
supportive. They clapped for me, and the teacher gave me helpful feedback.
It impressed me a lot because it helped me build confidence and made me realize that I could
improve if I practiced more. After that day, I started to enjoy speaking English more and became
more active in class.
Topic: Energy and our planet (năng lượng và hành tinh của chúng ta)
1. How do you save energy at home?
2. Do you think renewable energy is important?
3. Do you think more people are using renewable energy now?
4. What can the government do to encourage people to save energy?
To help protect the planet, I try to save energy at home in many simple ways. For example, I
turn off the lights, fans, and electronics when I'm not using them. I also use energy-saving
light bulbs and try to use the air conditioner less by opening windows or using a fan.
Yes, I think renewable energy is very important. Unlike oil and coal, renewable energy like
solar, wind, and water power is clean and doesn’t harm the environment. It also helps reduce
pollution and global warming.
I believe that more people are using renewable energy now than in the past. In some places,
you can already see solar panels on roofs and wind turbines in the countryside. People are
becoming more aware of environmental problems, so they try to make better choices.
The government can help by giving people support or money to buy solar panels or other
green equipment. They can also run public campaigns to teach people how to save energy and
why it matters. Making laws about using energy wisely in companies and schools is also a good
idea.
Topic: Successful business (ngành nghề kinh doanh thành công)
1. What the business is?
2. How do you knew about it?
3. What kind of product/ service it offers?
4. Why is it considered successful?

One successful business I want to talk about is Highlands Coffee, a popular coffee chain in
Vietnam.
I first knew about it a few years ago when my friends invited me to study and hang out at one
of their stores. Since then, I’ve seen Highlands Coffee almost everywhere — in big cities,
shopping malls, and even airports.
This business mainly offers coffee, tea, and other drinks, along with some light food like cakes
and snacks. Their drinks are affordable, tasty, and suitable for both young people and office
workers. They also have a nice space for working or relaxing, with free Wi-Fi and air
conditioning.
Highlands Coffee is considered successful because it has a strong brand, many locations, and
a lot of loyal customers. The company understands what Vietnamese people like and continues
to grow each year. It also creates many jobs for local people, which is good for the economy.
Topic: Describe an enviromental problem (Vấn đề môi trường)
You should say:
What the problem is
What the cause of it is
What the effects of the problem are
How we can solve this problem
One serious environmental problem I want to talk about is air pollution. This issue is becoming
worse, especially in big cities like Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.
The main cause of air pollution is too many vehicles like cars and motorbikes, which release
harmful gases into the air. Other causes include factories that burn coal or release smoke, and
even burning trash in some areas.
The effects of air pollution are very dangerous. It can cause health problems such as lung
diseases, asthma, and headaches. It also affects the environment, making the air dirty and
harming plants and animals. In some cities, the air quality is so bad that people have to wear
masks every day.
To solve this problem, the government and people need to work together. We should use public
transport or electric vehicles, plant more trees, and reduce the use of plastic and dirty
fuels. The government can also make stricter laws about factory pollution and support green
energy like solar or wind power.
Topic: talk about your favourite food (món ăn yêu thích)
1. What the food is?
2. What it is made of?
3. Why you like it?
4. Why it is your favourite food?
My favourite food is pho, which is a famous traditional noodle soup in Vietnam.
Pho is made of rice noodles, beef or chicken, and a flavorful broth. The broth is cooked for
many hours with bones, onions, ginger, and spices like star anise and cinnamon. It’s usually
served with herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and sometimes chili.
I like pho because it is very tasty and healthy. The soup is warm and comforting, the meat is
tender, and the herbs make it fresh. It’s also not too heavy, so I can eat it at any time of the day.
It is my favourite food because it reminds me of my family. We often eat pho together on
weekends or special mornings. Pho is not just food — it’s a part of Vietnamese culture and it
makes me feel proud of my country.
Topic: Describe a job you would like to have (Công việc bạn thích)
You should say:
What this job would be
Where you would work
Which qualifications you would need
And explain why you would like to have this job most
The job I would like to have in the future is an English teacher. I love learning languages, and I
enjoy helping others understand new things, so I think this job suits me well.
If I become an English teacher, I would like to work at a high school or a language center,
maybe in Ho Chi Minh City or even in the countryside, where students need more support.
To do this job, I would need a university degree in English or education, and also a teaching
certificate like TESOL or CELTA if I want to work in international centers. Of course, I would
also need to have good communication skills and patience to teach students well.
I want to do this job because it’s meaningful and helpful to others. Teaching is not just about
giving knowledge — it’s about inspiring students and helping them grow. Also, being a teacher
allows me to keep learning and improving myself, which is something I really value.
