Community Sharing Platform for Farmers Introduction

1. Introduction
1.1 Introduction of the Project
Agriculture faces challenges such as lack of timely labor, high cost of machinery, and
limited access to modern farming information.
Our application provides a digital platform where farmers can easily book labor, hire
agricultural equipment, and communicate with other farmers.
With multilingual and voice-based support, the app is easy to use for rural users.
It helps improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support smarter farming practices.

1.2 Existing System

Farmers mostly depend on local agents or personal contacts to find labor and machinery.
Information about labor availability, machinery, and crop advisory is not centralized.
Communication between farmers and workers is done manually through phone or visits.
Weather information is obtained from TV, radio, or general apps, not crop-specific.
Knowledge sharing among farmers is limited to nearby communities.
Record keeping of work, payments, and bookings is done manually, which may cause
confusion.

1.3 Problems in Existing System

Limited Accessibility:

Farmers may not find labor or machinery on time, especially during peak seasons.
Time Consuming:
Farmers spend a lot of time searching for workers and resources instead of focusing on
farming.
No Real-Time Updates:
Changes in availability or weather are not updated instantly, causing delays in decisions.
Poor Data Management:
Manual records can be lost or incorrect, affecting planning and productivity.
Low Connectivity Between Users:
Laborers and farmers cannot easily connect across villages or regions.
