In contemporary society, the practice of advertising has sparked a heated debate

among individuals in many parts of the world. While some people believe that
advertisements could make economic effects more significant, others argue that they
may lead people to feel discontent about their identity and what they possess. This
essay will discuss both perspectives before presenting my own opinion.

On the one hand, advertising plays a crucial role in stimulating economic growth. By
boosting business sales, companies and corporations can promote new products, reach
wider audiences, and increase revenue. For example, sales of new smartphones
frequently increase quickly when they are promoted on television and social media.
The business is able to grow and recruit more staff due to this increased demand. As a
result, advertising contributes directly to employment generation and overall
economic growth.

On the other hand, critics point out that advertising can damage society by creating
unrealistic expectations. Ads often encourage people, especially teenagers to buy
some trendy iteams that they don’t need, leading to an unhealthy lifestyle and asking
money from their parents. Models in cosmetic and fashion advertisements are often
digitally edited. Because they can't match these false ideals, many youngsters feel self-
conscious about their natural appearance.

In my opinion, advertising needs to be carefully handled to minimize social harm

because it has the potential to create unrealistic expectations and dissatisfaction, even
though it certainly contributes to economic development by supporting businesses and
employment.

In conclusion, advertising has both positive economic impacts and negative social
influences. A balanced approach that encourages economic growth while still enhance
the present realistic images and truthful information.
