INTRODUCTION
Cement is widely used in
construction, but its production
causes environmental pollution and
high CO₂ emissions. To promote
sustainable construction, cement
can be partially replaced with
industrial waste materials such as
fly ash, GGBS, silica fume, and rice
husk ash.
These materials possess
cementitious properties and help
reduce waste disposal problems,
conserve natural resources, lower
construction costs, and improve the
durability of concrete while
maintaining required strength.
