Usage Guide
Adding Your Designs
01. Find the Smart Objects marked in
blue and double-click their thumbnails.
02. A new tab will open in Photoshop.
Add your design here. Drag and drop
your file onto the canvas and adjust
its position.
03. Save the file by going to File > Save.
This will update the Smart Object and
apply the changes to the main PSD file.

Changing Paper Tone
Edit the Paper Tone only when you want
a subtle shift in the paper base, such as
adjusting warmth or coolness.
Paper Tone affects the entire paper
surface, including the design placed
above it (the design will also inherit that
tone and appear tinted).

Changing Paper Color
For non-transparent paper, you can
change the paper color inside the
Smart Object by placing your colored
design directly on the canvas.
As explained earlier, avoid using Paper
Tone to change the paper color, as it
will also tint the design.

Vellum Layers
01. Use the Vellum Color layer to change
the color of the vellum.
02. The thickness of vellum can be
increased by activating the layers labeled
“Activate for Extra Paper Weight”.
03. Adjust the opacity of the Vellum
Texture layers to match different vellum
finishes, folds, or printing effects.

Vellum Blur vs. NO Vellum Blur
Use Vellum Blur when you want to keep a
vellum sheet in your mockup. The paper
underneath it will appear softly diffused.
Use NO Vellum Blur when you don’t want
a vellum sheet in your mockup. Hide the
Vellum group > Hide Vellum Blur > Turn
on NO Vellum Blur.

Additional Customization Options
Depending on the mockup you
purchased, other elements may be
customizable, such as:
Hardware: Paperclips, binder rings,
and binder clips may be included and
can usually be switched between
finishes such as silver and gold.
Binder Covers: Different cover
materials and colors.
Adjustment Layers: Each design and
color may need different values, so
some tweaks are expected.
