Short Story
On June 19, 2020, James's cousin's great-aunt 2 times removed died and left
James with 50 billion dollars! Jame’s became a billionaire at the age of 20, and
suddenly James become famous, he was known worldwide!
The first thing James did with his money was buy a company that made and sold
cars trucks and parts for cars and trucks, so that he was still getting more money.
Though the man James bought it from looked eerily like James. Later that day James
decided that he would go eat at a McDonald's restaurant, when he got there, he ordered
a hamburger, fries and a drink, but the man who took his order thought that he looked
like a man who had been robbing banks in the area. So, he decided to call 911, and 10
minutes later when the cops arrived at the restaurant, they took one look at James and
then arrested him. A few days later he was sentenced to 20 years in prison, but James
knew that he was innocent even thought so many people thought that he was guilty.
Thought before he went to prison, he put all of his money into his bank account.
After 20 years James was released from prison, during his time in prison James
had thought a lot about what he would do after he was released from prison, and he
decided that he wanted to find out who had framed him! The first thing he did was go to
the bank to see if all of his money was still there in his bank account. When he got there,
he went to check, and he saw that his bank account had been hacked earlier that day!
James asked one of the people working there if he could see the security camera
footage from today. They said yes, if they could stand behind James while he watched
the security camera footage. When he watched the security camera footage, he saw that
only one person had been there that day. James thought that he had seen him before,
but he didn't remember where.
A few days later it finally came to James who that man was. It was the guy that
James had bought that company from 20 years ago. He immediately went to the nearest
police station. It took 10 minutes to get there, but when he did, he went and showed one
of the cops there the security camera footage from that day. But that just made the cop
believe that James was guilty again and he was sentenced to prison for the rest of his
life. A year or two later James's nephew Cooper decided that he wanted to watch the
security camera footage that James had shown that cop to see he could prove that
James was innocent. And well Cooper was doing that the cops had arrested another
man who was robbing a bank, and he looked eerily like James.
A week later Cooper believed that he had enough proof to prove that James was
innocent, to the people who thought he was guilty. So, he biked to the police station,
which was a 25-minute bike ride from his house. When Cooper got there, he showed the
cops the information he had gathered, then one of the cops said, "There is something I
think you should see” and cooper said “ok.” They went to where the cells were, and
cooper saw James in one of the cells. But he didn't look right and then he moved out of
the shadows and Cooper said “you're not James” and the cop who was with cooper said,
“ We thought James had escaped from prison when we caught him, but when we phoned
the prison that James is in they said that was in his cell.” Then the cop said, “When you
showed me that stuff that you found it convinced me that this is not James but someone
who looks almost exactly like him.” And few weeks later James was pardoned, and the
other man was sentenced to prison for the rest of his life. A year later James was living a
similar life to that he had been living at the age of 20. One day he decided to buy a
scratch ticket for a 65 Millon Doller lottery. When he scratched it, he saw that it was the
winning ticket, but he decided to throw it in the garbage, he had already had his
experience with money.
