1. Introduction
This project is called Smart Local Marketplace.

It is a web application.

The system helps small local sellers show their products online.
Customers can visit the website and buy products easily.
The admin manages users and products.

The goal of this project is to create one simple marketplace for vendors and customers.

2. Application Audience (Who Will Use the Website)

The people who will use this website are:

● Small local shop owners

● Home businesses and individual sellers

● Customers who want to buy local products

● One admin user who controls the system

3. Problem Statement
Many small businesses do not have websites.

Customers cannot find local sellers in one place.

Most online platforms are hard to use or cost money.

Because of this:

● Vendors lose sales

● Customers waste time

● Local products are hard to find

4. Proposed Solution
We will build a web marketplace.

Vendors will create accounts and add products.

Customers will browse products and place orders.
The admin will manage users and products.

The system will be simple and easy to use.

5. Main Features
● User login system

● Vendor product management

● Marketplace browsing

● Orders system

● Admin dashboard
Project Significance
Significance for Users

This project is significant for users because:

● Small local sellers get a free and simple way to sell products online.

● Customers can find multiple local vendors in one place instead of searching separately.

● Home businesses gain visibility without needing technical skills.

● Buyers save time by browsing, ordering, and tracking purchases on one platform.

● The system supports local businesses and promotes local products.

Significance for Developers (Team Members)

This project is significant for the development team because:

● It provides real-world experience building a full-stack web application.

● Team members practice backend, frontend, database design, authentication, and admin
systems.

● The project demonstrates teamwork, role distribution, and project management.

● It applies classroom concepts such as user roles, CRUD operations, APIs, and security.

● The final system can be used as a portfolio project for future jobs or internships.
