 Present the amount of precipitation in Boston for each quarter during the
last five years. Choose the optimal way of presenting this data. What are
the advantages of presenting the results this way?

• Best chart: Column chart or clustered column chart.
• Why: Easy to compare quarters across years; clear visual differences;
simple and readable.

 Explain – in details – potential applications for ‘Surface’ and ‘Sunburst’


charts. Why choose this way of presenting data?

Answer:
Surface Chart:
• Shows relationships between large data sets.
• Good for finding patterns, highs/lows, and trends in 3D.
Sunburst Chart:
• Shows hierarchy levels.
• Good for visualizing categories and subcategories clearly.

 Create a video (including audio) into a PowerPoint slide – with the ‘usual’
controls: “play”, “stop”, “pause”, “fast forward”, “reverse”. There should be
other bullets on the slide. The video should contain at least 8 photos which
should be sequentially and must enter the screen from different angles; in
tune to the music.
