What is the ECLR platform?
Developed by our Climate Data Analytics team,
the EcoAct CLimate Risk (ECLR) platform allows
users to visualise their organisation’s exposure
and vulnerability to the 28 climate hazards
defined by the EU Taxonomy.

ECLR is a unique platform in the market to visualize your

climate risks in detail, financial impact and adaptation solutions.
The new version of ECLR, launched in 2025, now helps
organisations to prioritise adaptation strategies based on their
resiliency efficiency and associated co-benefits for biodiversity.

Since its launch, the ECLR platform has been
acclaimed by our clients, enabling them to truly
understand the impact of climate change worldwide,
across all their sites and activities. With its new
features aligned with the most ambitious reporting
frameworks, ECLR offers companies the opportunity
to make concrete progress in their adaptation plans.

3. What adaptation actions can I prioritise to ensure
my business resiliency?
With ECLR, you can identify and prioritise the 10 most relevant
adaptation actions, at both asset and portfolio level. Using our in-house
database of over 120+ adaptation actions, ECLR is able to recommend
priority action areas for your organisation to focus on. To date, we have 40
key adaptation actions, each with the following attributes:

• Climate hazard mitigation: Specific hazards which are reduced by

implementing this action.
• Protected systems: Aspects that are safeguarded by this adaptation
action (buildings, equipment, people)
• Action type: Categorisation as hard (e.g. flood barriers), soft (e.g. training
programmes), or ecosystem-based (e.g. natural wind barriers)
• Implementation timeline: Estimated time required for execution.
• Cost of implementation: Compare cost of action vs inaction, even
without company-specific data.
• Co-benefits: Contributions to local biodiversity, decarbonisation, human
well-being, social relations, property value, reputation, etc.

Our adaptation databases are updated and enriched regularly with

our site visits and dedicated adaptation workshops.

4. Deep dive on exposure
This module identifies each site’s current and future exposure to every climate
hazard in our database, worldwide.

For organisations seeking a deeper understanding of their climate risks, our

climate experts provide tailored analysis across the key components of
exposure, vulnerability, and adaptation.

ECLR features:
• 28 climate hazards aligned with the European Taxonomy
• More than 40 climate indicators: We capture nuanced
climate impacts. For instance, extreme heat is measured
not only by days above 35°C but also by humid days
above 41°C, the 99th percentile of annual daily maximum
temperature, or the number of tropical nights above
20°C. This breadth ensures relevance to diverse impacts
like equipment failure or human well-being.
• Two future climate scenarios: Analysis includes both low
carbon (RCP2.6) and high carbon (RCP8.5) pathways.
• For French companies: Seamless integration of TRACC
scenarios (Trajectoire de réchauffement de référence
pour l’adaptation au changement climatique) for national
alignment.

14
5. Deep dive on vulnerability ECLR Advanced
At the site level, vulnerability comprises three components:
• Business criticality: The overall importance of a particular site to your
business operations as a whole.
• Physical sensitivity to climate hazards: The extent to which your
infrastructure is susceptible to climate impacts (e.g., is a building in a flood
zone already protected by barriers?)
• Adaptive capacity: The resources your organization can leverage to ensure
resilience during an extreme climate event (financial, technical, human, and
organizational)
ECLR automatically estimates your sites’ sensitivity using an internal, generic
approach tailored by asset type (e.g., data center, industrial plant).
For detailed analysis, our vulnerability module allows users to easily adjust
site level vulnerability scores via intuitive sliders, with comments for
traceability. This is especially useful during expert-led workshops or site
visits.

Coming soon - stay tuned!

In 2025, we’re planning to enhance the ECLR platform with new functionalities:
• Advanced adaptation deep dive: For companies ready to refine their adaptation
strategies, this advanced module will allow you to input additional data for
implementation.
• Instant portfolio reports: Automatically generate PDF reports for your portfolio,
