SOLAR PANEL SCRIPT

1. Polycrystalline Solar Panels (~335W)

 The Reality: These produce less power per panel, so you need more of them to do heavy
lifting.
 Best for these appliances: Great for running standard, lower-draw household items if
you have plenty of roof space.
 Examples: Lights, electric fans, TVs, laptops, charging stations, and a standard
refrigerator.
 If you want to run an Air Conditioner: You can absolutely do it, but you will need to
buy and install a larger number of these panels to generate enough power compared to the
other types.

2. Monocrystalline Solar Panels (400W to 650W)

 The Reality: These pack a lot more power into a single panel. They are perfect when you
have power-hungry appliances but limited roof space.
 Best for these appliances: Heavy-duty, modern home appliances.
 Examples: Air conditioners, washing machines, microwaves, water pumps, and electric
ovens. Because a single panel can produce up to 650W, it takes fewer of them to power
these energy-draining machines.

3. Monocrystalline Bifacial Solar Panels (400W+ from both sides)

 The Reality: These capture sunlight from the front and bounce-back light from the rear,
giving you the absolute maximum energy yield.
 Best for these appliances: Whole-home systems running multiple high-draw appliances
simultaneously, or even commercial/farm equipment.
 Examples: Multiple AC units running at once, deep well water pumps, large electric
water heaters, or charging electric vehicles. These are usually mounted on the ground or
on specialized racks to let light hit the back, making them powerhouses for heavy
appliance usage.

Is silver used on solar panels?

Due to its exceptional electrical conductivity, silver allows effective collection and conversion of
sunlight into power. About 3.2 to 8 grams per m2, the typical solar panel has 0.643 ounces (20
grams) of silver.

What are the major components used for making solar panels?
A typical solar panel comprises a glass enclosure, a metal frame, a layer of silicon cells, and
different wiring to let current pass from the silicon cells. A non-metal with conductive qualities, silicon
can gather sunlight and turn it into electricity.

Why is tempered glass used in solar panels?

Solar panels get covered protection and safety shield with tempered glass. Made either thermally or
chemically, tempered glass—also referred to as safety glass or toughened glass—is Some features
of tempered glass make it a suitable material for solar PV panels.

What is inside a solar panel?

A solar panel consists of solar cells. To produce silicon ingot, P-type or n-type solar cells combine
gallium, boron, or gallium, with crystalline silicon. Phosphorus added to the mixture lets the cells
conduct electricity. The silicon ingot is then sliced thinly and covered with an anti-reflective coating
WIND TURBINES SCRIPT
OPTION:

"Bend-Twist Coupling" is a genius design where the blade is built to automatically twist as it
bends backward. By twisting, the blade changes its angle and "spills" the excess wind away—
kind of like a sailboat loosening its sails during a storm so it doesn't tip over. The slide calls this
"Passive load reduction" because the blade does this twisting trick naturally on its own, without
needing any motors or computers to move it.

The "Two Ways to Skin That Cat"

The slide shows two different ways engineers can force the blade to do this automatic twisting:

 Geometry-based (Bottom Left): This involves designing the physical shape of the blade
with a slight sweep or curve to it (shown in the graph). The physical shape itself makes
the blade want to twist when the wind pushes it.
 Material-based (Top Left): This involves using a very specific recipe of layered
materials to build the blade's shell. This leads to the big picture on the right side.

The Close-Up: The Carbon/Glass Hybrid

Look at the woven fabric on the right side. Instead of just laying materials straight down, they
weave different materials at specific angles to create a "trick" skin for the blade:
 0° Carbon: The black stripes going straight up and down are carbon fiber. This gives the
blade its extreme core stiffness so it doesn't just fold in half.
 +45° and -45° Fiberglass: The white stripes are fiberglass, laid down in a diagonal,
crisscrossing pattern.

How it works: Because those white fiberglass threads are laid at diagonal angles, when the wind
pushes hard against the blade, those angled threads stretch and pull unevenly. That diagonal
pulling physically forces the entire blade to twist in the exact direction the engineers want it to!
The arrow simply shows this special fabric being laid into the mold to build the real blade.
