Florence: Maria, did you take the money?
Concha (Maria): No! I didn’t steal anything. I’m just selling vegetables.
Karen: But the money is gone.
Kyla: Maybe we should call the police.
(Police arrive.)
Orlanda (Police): What is happening here?
Angelica: Officer, Maria stole money from my store.
Precious: Please investigate first.
Orlanda: Maria, you must come with us.
Concha (Maria): But I’m innocent! I don’t even have money for a lawyer!
Batag: This is unfair! There’s no proof yet.
Marius: Poor people are often blamed quickly.
