verb ends with s - sh - ch - x- o ==> es
Examples:
"I get up at six o'clock every morning.“ watch ==> the boy watches
wash ==> My Mom wash
“They sometimes go for a walk on Fridays." go ==> goes

play ==> plays


He / she / it / singular noun ➔ v + (s – es - ies)

Examples:
"Ahmed likes football very much.“
"Aya watches action films every day."

Form
pizza is eaten (by me)

Affirmative (passive):
Structure: Object + am/is/are + past participle (p.p)
Examples:
My dad builds many houses.

"Farmers grow plants." (active) Many houses are built by my dad.

"Plants are grown by farmers." (passive)


"Some people don’t eat meat at all." (active)
"Meat isn’t eaten at all by some people." (passive)

Negative: Structure: Subject + don’t/doesn’t + base verb (infinitive)


I/we/you/they ➔ don’t
He/She/It➔ doesn’t.
Examples: "I don’t get up at six o’clock on Friday.“
"Ahmed doesn’t like football very much.“
Never can be added for emphasis:
"He never helps the poor."

Question form: 2 types of questions (yes/no question) or (wh-question)


1. Yes/No question:
Structure: Do/Does + Subject + base verb (infinitive)
Do you like ice cream?
Examples: yes, I do
"Do you get up at six o'clock every morning? No, I don't

"Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.


"Does Aya watch action films?“
Yes, she does. / No, she doesn’t.

2. Wh-question
Structure: Question Word + do/does + Subject + base verb (infinitive)
Examples:
"What do you eat for lunch?“
"How often does Mr. Ashraf go to the club?"
